42 MonthsGeneral Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year, six-month full-time diploma program offered by the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board, Bangalore, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Age limit for Admission:
The minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as of 31st December of that year). The upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.
Educational Qualification:-
The candidate should have passed HSC / 10th, +2 any subject or vocational nursing group, with 40% and above marks from any Recognized Board. However, Science is preferable.
Registered ANM:-
Candidates are also eligible for State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government.
For foreign Nationals: The entry qualification equivalency, i.e., 12th standard, will be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible for ensuring that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed above.
