MBBS: Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery course approved by National Medical Commission.
Duration: 4 ½ Years + One Year Compulsory Rotating Internship. Total Annual Intake: 245. The percent of seat sharing between Government of Karnataka and Management is in the ratio of 50:50 (Subject to Change).
Course of study Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 ½ academic years from the date of commencement of his/her study for the subject comprising a medical curriculum to the date of completion of the examination followed by one year compulsory rotating internship.
The 4 ½ years Course has been divided into three Phases.
Phase I – One year consisting of two terms of six months each
Phase II – One and half years consists of three terms of six months each
Phase III – Consists of seven terms after Phase – I. It runs concurrently with Phase – II and during Phase – II Para-clinical and clinical subjects will be taught concurrently
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
The candidate has passed II year pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the language and has secured not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC).
