Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is a two-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in the nursing course offered by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pondicherry, and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC).

Eligibility Criteria

Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1/PUC on or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
The maximum education requirements shall be the passing of a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the State Nursing Council.
Worked for a minimum period of one year as a nurse in a hospital/institution or a full-time Public Health Nurse for one year after obtaining the above-mentioned diploma and registered in a State Nursing Council.
The candidate should have undergone a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery in an institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
A male nurse trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a Nurse with the State Nursing Council shall produce evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery in any one of the following areas:
- O.T. Techniques
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing
- TB Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Cancer Nursing
- Orthopedic Nursing
