Kohima College, Kohima Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has one of the most well-stocked libraries in the capital. There are over 17000 texts and reference books covering all academic subjects. National and international magazines, journals, and local and national dailies are subscribed to regularly, adding to the volume of the library.

The college has 50 50-bed girls' hostel available, equipped with all modern facilities. Occupancy: Single and double occupancy rooms are both available. Furniture includes study tables, chairs, and cloth racks for each occupant. Rooms in the hostel: There is a common visitor lounge, common kitchen and dining hall, toilets, and bathing room. Altogether there are 28 rooms in the girls’ hostel building. The hostel also has a recreational hall, which can be used for other activities such as post-dinner talk, prayer meetings, and quiz competitions, which are a part of the hostel activities.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a 1500-seat capacity auditorium with a podium and changing rooms on both sides of the wings. This facility is utilized for all functions as well as seminars.

The College has a Medical Emergency room that is well-stocked with emergency first aid kits. The college has a tie-up with Oking Hospital and Research Centre, Kohima, that facilitates doctors, nurses, and ambulance services on call.

The College has two cafeterias that serve healthy and hygienic food at a reasonable price to faculty, staff, and students.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has three buses that commute staff and students from and to the town. It is also available for other activities as and when required.

The college offers a boys' hostel facility, providing good hostel accommodation for its students.

The college has the Red Ribbon Club, accompanied by Mhalezolie Solo, Assistant. Prof., Dept of Pol Science, attended the launching of the “Intensified IEC (INFORMATION, EDUCATION & COMMUNICATION)” campaign. It was organized by the Office of the Commissioner Secretary, H&FW, Goa, and the Chairman and Project Director of NSACS, and held at the NBCC Convention Centre. A rally for the cause followed this.

The college has an Extracurricular activities facility for all students.
