Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has separate hostels for boys inside the campus to accommodate 650 boys. Facilities for playing indoor games and common reading rooms with audiovisual equipment are available in all the hostels.

The college has separate hostels for girls inside the campus to accommodate 750 girls. Facilities for playing indoor games and common reading rooms with audiovisual equipment are available in all the hostels.

The college has provided First Aid Medical Facilities within the campus. Special facilities are also provided in case of an emergency. A 24-hour ambulance facility is also available on the campus.

The college has a full-fledged gymnasium equipped with the latest fitness and wellness equipment, weight lifting facilities, parallel bars, dumbbells, and other equipment.

The college library is housed in an area of 3905 sq. ft with a seating capacity of 60 and has a stock of 14,668 books, 65 journals, and magazines in all disciplines. An exclusive library for Kovai Kalaimagal Academy for Competitive Examinations (KKACE), 613 sq. ft, and 30-seating capacity, has a stock of 237 books. Our library is a member of N-LIST, DELNET, & NDL, which provide e-books, e-journals, and e-theses/dissertations to help staff and students prepare articles and research papers, and enrich their knowledge. Our college library was fully automated with the software named “College Management System”(CMS).

The college also has a good infrastructure for sports and games, which includes courts for badminton, volleyball, and basketball, facilities for games like Kabbadi, Kho–Kho, etc., and a multi-gym for physical fitness.

The KKCAS has four computer laboratories. All the laboratories are equipped with adequate and the latest systems, language laboratories, and laboratories with NPTEL facilities. The laboratories are designed with safety features embedded in the infrastructure and create an excellent ambiance and atmosphere for learning. The lab has a total of 250 computers connected to the network. Internet facility is available for all the systems in the lab with 50 Mbps bandwidth.

The college has a cafeteria that is located near and easily accessible from the academic and administrative wings. The cafeteria has been well planned and laid out amid gardens.

The college bus starts from Gandhipuram Bus Stand at 7:45 am (on all working days) and departs from the college at 4.45 pm.

The college has a Corporation Bank ATM available within the College Campus to cater to the banking needs of the students.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

The college has Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
