The entry standards for a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course in India can be a bit different at every institution. However, most of the colleges or universities have a few common requirements that are always followed.

• Applicant should have completed a Bachelor’s degree from any discipline from the university that is on the list of the body responsible.
• The minimum average overall mark from the Bachelor’s level is normally between 45% to 50%.
• Certain institutions may offer specialized B. Ed programs for specific subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies and so on. That means candidates with a four-year degree in the mentioned subjects are also eligible to apply for such programs.
• It is common for many institutions of higher education to conduct their admission entrance examination for enrollment into teaching education.
