Masters in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) in Animal Biotechnology is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the University of Calcutta, Kolkata. and approved by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).


Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for appearing in the entrance test will be the same as indicated in Clause 4.2.1. For admission to the M.V.Sc. the degree program in Animal Biotechnology, a candidate has to pass B.V.Sc & A.H. from a recognized university securing a minimum CGPA of 2.60 on a 4.00 scale or 6.60 in a 10.00 scale. In a case where Grade points are not awarded only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for Gen/OBC/UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ST/DAC category. Out of 10 seats available per year, 5 seats are open for candidates who qualify in the Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. For the rest of the seats, a separate entrance examination shall be conducted by AAU as per the following marks distribution and pattern on a notified date in due course.
