Govindrao Wanjari College of Law, Nagpur,  is affiliated to Maharashtra and has specialized law courses to offer. The college is recognized by NAAC and is also under BCI, New Delhi. Admission process in undergraduate and postgraduate programs in law is purely on merit.  Typically, the admission process at Govindrao Wanjari College of Law starts in the months of May to June for a new academic session commencing in August-September. For LLB or BA LLB undergraduate programs, admissions are mainly through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET Law) organized by the Government of Maharashtra. This entrance examination is vital in determining one's eligibility and merit for the courses.

The MHCET Law is generally meant to occur yearly in March. For the academic year 2025, the exam is slated for March 19-20, 2025.  Eligibility criteria for undergraduate programs are usually a pass in 10+2 from a recognized board. Most require a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination. Postgraduate applicants must have completed their bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university. The important dates related to the admissions process differ according to a particular program.

      Admission Process Degree wise

BA LLB: This five-year course, the integrated course of BA LLB, is likewise offered on a merit basis. Candidates are supposed to clear the MHCET Law exam. Eligibility criteria include completion of 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
