Maa Bharati PG College, Kota, is a co-educational affiliated college recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the purposes of undergraduate and postgraduate admission in many disciplines. Application Process

Maa Bharati PG College, Kota, has framed an application process simple and open for all eligible candidates. Below is the stepwise process of applying and proposing.

1. Notification: The college shall announce admission notification through the print and electronic media and also on the college website.

2. Application Form: The candidates can purchase the form either from the college campus or can download from the official website.

3. Filling of Form: The candidates must fill the application form correctly and completely. All information furnished in the form by the candidate will be accurate and supported by documents without dispute.

4. Attachment of Documents: Attach all the documents required as mentioned in the application form. Following documents would generally be attached:

  • Passport size photographs
  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th for UG courses; Bachelor's degree for PG courses
  • Transfer certificate from the last attended institution
  • Character certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other certificate or documents required as per the program concerned

5. Submission: Submit the completed application form, along with supporting documents, to the college admission office prior to the deadline.

6. Application Fees: As per the admission notification procedure, the application fees shall be paid in cash, by demand draft, or by online transfer.

7. Entrance Exam/Interview: Entrance tests/interviews are part of the selection process for some programs irrespective of an integrated B.Ed. program, whereas for others it is for postgraduate courses.

8. Merit List: The college shall prepare and publish a merit list for each specific course according to the laid-down parameters.

9. Counseling and Admission: Candidates placed in the merit list will be called for counseling to make their preference for major choice of subjects in relation to the merits and availability of seats.

10. Fee Payment: Candidates for whom seats have been allotted shall be required to pay the fees within the stipulated time to confirm their admission.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Sc.(Mathematics & Biology): The B.Sc. programs in Mathematics and Biology have a permissible intake capacity of 160 students each. Admission will again be on the merit of 10+2 examination results, emphasizing performance in science subjects.

BA: The Bachelor of Arts Program also has an intake of 160 students and is based on the merit of 10+2 assessment across all subjects. 

BCA: The BCA Program has an intake of 120 students. Candidates of 10+2 with Mathematics or Computer science background have a slight edge in selection.

Integrated BA B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed.: All the courses run 50 admissions each. Admission selections are made through:

  1. Merit selection: 10+2 qualifying examination marks.
  2. Entrance exam or any selection procedure as per the prevailing state government/university policy.
  3. The indications of the preferred subject and pedagogic specialization during admission will be assigned as per merit and availability.

M.Sc. Programs: The college offers M.Sc. in Mathematics (40 seats), Chemistry (30 seats), Botany (30 seats), Physics (30 seats), and Zoology (30 seats). Admission to these programs mainly considers the performance of the candidate in his/her relevant bachelor's degree.

Ph.D. Programs: The college's doctoral programs are in Chemistry and Botany. Admission into these research-oriented programs could include further steps such as an entrance test, interview, and evaluation of research proposals for admission.

However, mostly course is taken by those students who have completed b.a English degree. This course covers learnings of theory,English, history of English literature and various other things.
