If there's anything that makes Maitreyi College different from any other colleges then ot would definitely be it's infrastructure. The college have a beautiful garden with variety of flowers which make it more lively. Apart from this the college have well maintained classrooms and labs. There is also a sports club with various equipments. The another great thing about college is it's library which contains more than 1000 books and a helping system for students with vision disability.
I am studying Bsc(H) Mathematics because I have always been interested in maths and the quality of education in maitreyi college is good. All the faculty members are really helpful . The college never forgets to update it's curriculum and it includes every new development. The college study is really different which doesn't make everyone job ready but it surely helps some students in achieving their goals.
The placement of Maitreyi College falls in average category as of now and there is nothing wrong if we say that it is improving every year. There were more than 50 companies which came to offer placement as well as internships to students. The highest stipend in 2020-2021 was Rs 40,000 and the average annual package was about Rs 3.5 lac. Apart from this the placement cell of our college is really hard working and the college was very supportive in every matter.
If you are seeking this college then it is good in respect of value for money. The college offers courses in affordable prices. As a math honours student my annual fees is Rs 8300 which is really affordable. This college has definitely helped me a lot in improving myself so according to me the money which I am investing as college fees is really worth it.
The campus life is really amazing. There are various societies and clubs in the college in which everyone can take part and learn something new. As it's girls college parents do not need to worry even a little bit about the safety of their children because the college is located in posch area and the safety around the area is amazing. The teachers of the college are really helpful and supportive which is the reason why we do not hesitate to ask anything to them.
The college in overall is pretty awesome.
Maitreyi has a beautiful infrastructure, wonderful library, sports centres, laboratories, small as well as big classrooms. Hostel is still under construction. The garden area is the most beautiful part of Maitreyi and has won most beautiful garden award in all of DU Colleges for 5+ consecutive years.
I'm pursuing ba programme in Economics and English. I would give a mixed review for teachers. Sone are really extraordinary and flawless at imparting knowledge while some are not that great. I had amazing English and Economics teachers but average teachers for optional subjects. Curriculum is challenging and really edifying, provides comprehensive and complete exposure to the subject.
Placement record is average. Tier A companies are rare. However, average salary offered is between 3 to 6 lakhs p.a. which is fine for freshers. Even during the pandemic, recruitment cell managed to provide lots of opportunities.
Wonderful exposure, great societies and really helpful teachers. Total value for money.
I will say Maitreyi provides a memorable Campus life with tons of events, functions, webinars and competitions. Students are all motivated to achieve the best and teachers are totally supportive.
Maitreyi has been the part of most beautiful journey of my life.
College has very beautiful and big infrastructure. Classroom are well furnished. Library have a great collections of books. Place is well maintained. It has basketball, volleyball court. The living spaces are clean and the food is hygenic.
I am student of Ba, as far as my subject concerned, my faculty is great. The teachers are very supportive and help you to understand each and every concept clearly. Yes the curriculum is updated and includes all the recents development in the field as in online teaching .
In my college 80% of students are doing internships. The salaries are according to there companies package. Campus recruitment is satisfactory. The average salary is offered as I get to know through someone 8 lakh.
It is worth. Have minimal fees.
The location is very pretty near chanakyapuri whicj is surrounded by embassies. The teachers are very good and supportive.
Outstanding
Washrooms are not hygienic. The buildings are old and broken. Poor maintenance. Only the gardens are beautiful to look at. Open audi is one of the best place to hang out. A lot of greenery makes it beautiful.
Teachers are really great and supportive. They solve all your doubts with patience and make sure you understand each and every concept. They are the bet guides and mentors. It feels great to have them.
Not so good placements. No substantial job roles are provided by the companies. It is all social meadia marketing and promotions. Even if you have applied for another department, they add you in the sales department.
Has very low fees.
Overall a nice place.
Amazing
The college have all the necessary infrastructure like a big library, sports ground, laboratories. These infrastructures are well-equipped and maintained. The college campus also have wi-fi and smart boards which is a big plus point. Unfortunately for now there is no hostel facility available but Hostel construction is on the way.
Pursuing Bcom programme from Maitreyi college. As far as the commerce faculty is concerned, the college has got some of the best teachers in this field. Lectures are made nore interactive and fun by the teachers.
The college provides a variety of internship opportunities to kids. The same goes with the placement opportunities. College tries its best to provide placement to as many kids as they can. They invite good companies to the campus for better placement opportunities.
Faculty, sports facilities, libraries, events and fests all these make the money spent worth it.
One can find a new home in our college, beautiful and scenic at the same time it offers excellent academics and co curricular activities. Placements is quite average. Canteen provides everything one needs.
Excellent academics and staff. Teachers are very helpful and caring. Everyone is so humble so it always feels like you are in your own home. You can't feel weird here it is just like our second home. Life is good here.
The placements are above average and you can apply for any of the short term courses to get a positive mark in the CV. Students often get above average placements in multi national companies And other private sectors
You can get all the courses at a very Affordable rates

No
Well since I haven't really been to college yet (covid), I can't say for sure. However, I've heard from my seniors and teachers that the college is quite beautiful, and the lawn, especially, is luscious. The facilities are okay (from what I've heard).
I'm studying economics honours. The teachers are very knowledgeable and sweet. The course is hard, of course, but interesting. The curriculum is good, all colleges of DU follow the same curriculum. In 1st year it's hard to say if the curriculum is preparing me for jobs yet.
The internships are good, regarding job placements I currently don't know myself. I did an internship recently that the placement cell provided and it was satisfactory. About jobs I haven't explored yet.
Maitreyi, being a government college, has minimal fees. DU is of course one of the best universities and Maitreyi college doesn't disappoint. So yes, it's definitely value for money.
The location is beautiful, it's in Chanakyapuri surrounded by embassies. Travel is easy to, metro is directly connected. Campus I currently have no idea. The teachers are sweet and supportive.
Yes, the college has the necessary infrastructure, facilities & equipment available. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated. The garden of the college are very well maintained. The food in the canteen is prepared with all the necessary precautions of cleanliness and hygiene. The college also provides high speed internet facility to all the students and the staff member of the college.
I'm studying B.A. Economics Honours in Maitreyi. The teaching is miraculous in Maitreyi. Yes , the curriculum of all the courses is updated and it does include all the recent developments in the field of education.
The college provides a very good placement opportunity around 60% to 70% of the student got placed from the college last year. The top recruiting companies include Amazon Mahindra etc. Campus recruitment is one of the best part of this college.
The infrastructure is quite good . Classrooms are big enough . A library with a good collection of books ,laboratories etc . No hostel facility is provided . All the living spaces are clean and a canteen is also there in the college.
I am studying economics honours. The faculty is quiet good and very well experienced . The curriculum is updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field . The quality of teaching is excellent.
Although the faculty is very good but the campus placements are not worth it. 40-50% students are only get good placements but the college provides internships through the placement cell in various companies.
The value of money is understandable in the college . I don't know about all the courses but mine was economics honours and the college ask for a nominal fees I must say as compared to other colleges.
The college has a good infrastructure. The garden of the college is one of the most beautiful in all the colleges of Delhi University with all that greenery and flowers etc. Cleanliness is a must in the campus
Our college has the best ranking i.e 36 according to nirf ranking. My experience till now is very good , i am obliged to be be in this college. We have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments at our college. As we can is college is beautifully designed with red colour building. You just need to have compulsorily studied maths in class 12th to opt for bcom hons but it's marks are not required to be included. If you haven't studied maths in class 12th , then you can opt for Bcom.
