Decent academics
Academics
Academics are decent with experienced and supportive faculty across most departments. Societies are really good except a few of them giving better exposure. College does not provide a lot of internship and research opportunities.
College Infra
College has green, spacious and well maintained campus that feels safe and comfortable. The labs and classrooms of the newer block are in good condition, though the old building, library and common facilities still need renovation.
Campus Life
Great!
Placements
Placements are decent but not exceptional. Commerce and science courses see better opportunities as compared to humanities courses. Outcome largely depends on individual efforts and skill building. Overall it is decent.
Value For Money
According to price a big yes!!

College Infra
Maitreyi College is a women’s college under the University of Delhi, known for a safe, green campus and active student life. It offers courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science. The general vibe from students is mixed to positive some love the environment and faculty, while others feel sections of infrastructure and placements could improve.
Placements
Placement support exists, especially in Commerce & B.Sc. courses, but opportunities vary by stream.
Average packages, where available, are reported around ₹3–6 LPA, with top offers for some students; internships are also provided but often unpaid.

B.Sc Mathematics Hons - Batch of 2027-01-01
Academics
I am studying B.Sc. Mathematics Honours because I love calculations and problem solving. The academic experience in the college is good. The faculty is great, very supportive, and always ready to help students. Teachers explain concepts clearly and help a lot when we have doubts. Proper procedures are followed for classes, internal assessments, and exams. Regular lectures, tutorials, and assignments are conducted. I think the course and teaching methods can help make students job-ready. Overall, the academic environment is disciplined and helpful for learning.
College Infra
The infrastructure of the college is average but nice. The campus is very beautiful with gardens and greenery everywhere. It gives a peaceful and fresh environment. The library is good and helpful for students. The college also has courts and open spaces for activities. There are many classrooms, so big batches are managed easily. Labs are available and classrooms have projectors for teaching. Wi-Fi facility is also provided in the campus. However, the washrooms can be better and the canteen is not good at all and needs improvement. Overall, the campus is green, calm, and good for daily college life.
Campus Life
Campus life in Maitreyi College is good and peaceful. The campus is green and beautiful. Exposure is great as many societies and workshops are organized. Students can actively engage in different societies. I am also a part of the Fashion Society, which gives good exposure and learning opportunities. Students are friendly and teachers are supportive. The environment is safe. One difficult part is that sometimes it is hard to make strong connections. Overall, campus life is enjoyable.
Placements
Placements in Maitreyi College are decent but mainly strong for commerce courses. Most placement opportunities are for B.Com and B.Com Honours students. Around 60–70% of students who apply for placements get selected. The average package is around ₹5–6 lakh per year, while the highest package has gone up to around ₹7–10 lakh+ in recent years. For science and arts students, placements are limited, so many students prepare for higher studies, competitive exams, or off-campus jobs. Overall, placements are okay but can be improved for all courses.
Value For Money
The yearly fee for my course is around ₹16,690, which is quite affordable compared to many other colleges. I feel the course is value for money because we get good teaching, proper academic structure, labs, library facilities, and a peaceful learning environment at a reasonable cost.

No it is not compulsory to include maths in the best of four marks for studying bcom hons in delhi university. You just need to have compulsorily studied maths in class 12th to opt for bcom hons but it's marks are not
