48 MonthsBachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Exercise and Sports Sciences is a four years inclusive of 6 months compulsory internship and project Full-Time Undergraduate course and offered by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal.
An interdisciplinary field that explores the complex nature of human movement and how the body responds to acute and chronic physical exertion from fitness training and, recreational and professional sports. Exercise science encompasses disciplines of exercise and sport physiology, movement analysis, training and conditioning and, sport and exercise psychology. Sport Science is a sub discipline that explores the factors influencing sport performance and strategies to improving it. There is growing demand for exercise and sports scientists around the globe.
Eligibility Criteria
Indian Boards -
Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English with Biology / Mathematics from a recognized Board, with minimum 45% aggregate marks in PCB / PCM
A level-
- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology with at least 2 subjects amongst PCM / PCB at ‘A’ level and third subject at ‘A’ level / ‘AS’ level and
- English at ‘AS’ level OR Minimum 5 passes at IGCSE/ GCSE / GCE ‘O’ level examinations including English
- Minimum requirement is an average of ‘D’ grade in PCB / PCM
IB-
- English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics
- IB Diploma or IB Certificate with an average of 4 points in PCB or PCM with an overall minimum of 24 points
- Minimum points required in a subject are 3 or above
- Minimum 3 subjects in HL and 3 subjects in SL
- Minimum two Science subjects in HL
- Third Science subject and English can be at HL or SL
