Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam (Also known as: MACOLLEGE)

I completed my Bsc Zoology UG course in this college. It was a great experience for me. I recommend you this college. The college provides all favourable conditions for your graduation. The college also have good infrastructure and best faculties. The laboratories of each departments contain well maintained instruments for practical works.

MAC is accredited as "a college with potential" and rightly so since it manages, every year, to obtain some of the best academically and artistically talented youth. The college has a small, but symmetric and scenic campus. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the quality of the academics and extra-curricular opportunities offered by it. The college suffers from the inferior quality of the outdated syllabus set by MG University in Kerala and the same complacency has trickled down to the teaching faculty as well. The newly obtained autonomous status of the college doesn't spell much hope on this front yet and seems to have only hindered whatever liberal ambience MAC did have. Hopefully, the management will utilize this autonomous status in a way that benefits the students, at least in the future. As of now, sadly, MAC fails to live up to the reputation it holds outside the campus. But it will offer a decent(not the best) environment to the niche of self-inspired students seeking for a good avenue to do their UG within Kerala itself

The infrastructure is just awesome. Fully surrounded by the garden. We have a placement cell which helps students to know more about placement opportunities. We have college hostel facilities for both girls and boys. The only college in MG university which have an indoor stadium, swimming pool and a synthetic track ground. And moreover, the life in this college is really a kickass....
