Academics
Most of our teachers are researchers and some of them are highly recognized. Almost all teachers have qualified GATE with a very good rank like AIR 1. Depending upon the subjects semester exam can be easy or hard, but there is relative marking in some of the subjects. The pass percentage is 30%, but if our CGPA is less than 6.5 then the scholarship will not be granted.
College Infra
National institute of science education and research which is situated in Bhubaneswar provides the degree of Homi bhabha National institute Our institute is famous for its high-level academic studies and laboratory for various experiments. There are well-maintained academic buildings, hostels, staff residents, a health center, a shopping complex, and canteens. Free Wi fi in all over the campus
Placements
NISER is not a placement-oriented institute; basically, the course is structured focusing on a research career. Although some students get jobs in some research and development companies, very few students get the privilege to directly apply for the interview of scientific officer in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

Academics
Academics was also upto the mark. The college is quite good & courses are very diverse while matching the students requirements. Faculties are highly qualified & experienced. Course structure & outline is up-to-date with the industry requirement.
College Infra
The college has most of basic features as it is a national level institute. So facilities like bigger grounds for sports, clean classrooms & hostels inside the campus, library etc were present. So overall very good experience in terms of having good infrastructure.
Placements
So there is no placement program present in this college as of now but in future there is a scope of implementing one such program to provide or avail students better opportunities in their career. The PhD students do get better career opportunity from this college.
Value For Money
The fees was pretty low but with no placements, it is a bit difficult to judge the value for money parameter.

Academics
If you are dedicated in your studies then you can succeed not only in NISER but in any college. Still here you will get highly qualified and experienced teachers from around India and also National award (like Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award) winning teachers and they have contributed significantly to research field. In academics many students from NISER have won awards in international level like in Physics Olympiads etc. Overall if you are sincere then you will surely enjoy NISER.
College Infra
The infrastructure in NISER is very modern and labs are pretty hi-tech and there are lot of facilities within campus like Shopping Complex, Medical Center, Indoor Sports Arena, Saloon, etc. In a whole you will get every day-to-day necessities within the campus which very few science colleges in our country have. Also the hostel infrastructure is also very good with high speed LAN connection and Outdoor Wi-Fi with good download and upload speed. In a whole, it's perfect.
Campus Life
If you want then just come to NISER and enjoy your campus life.
Placements
In Research colleges Placement means number of students who have successfully gone for higher studies like PhD or MBA etc. And in that case we hold a very good record. Many students of NISER are studying in prestigious universities across the globe like MIT, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Penn state, etc and also in world famous Indian institutes like TIFR, IISc ,etc.
Value For Money
Actually you don't have to really pay any fees in NISER!!! Yes, that's true because everybody here gets scholarship like KVPY, INSPIRE, DISHA etc which amounts to 5000 rs/ month initially and your semester fees is as low as 17,500 rs. So you save a lot of money in that case.

So according to your rank that is 1713 in NEST you chances of getting NISER is very difficult because the cutt off of general category usually closed at 1000 rank and seats are very limited, You rank 1713 is above that. You can try for other institutes that accept
