    About NCERC Thrissur

    Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC) was set up in the year 2002 at an area of over eight acres in Thrissur, Kerala. This AICTE, NAAC recognized affiliated college has many branches of engineering and management courses. Located in a massive area of about 25 acres of land the NCERC has total student enrolment of 1003 and faculty strength of 126.

    The facilities available in NCERC Thrissur have been equipped with modern facilities so as to support the students. Presently, the hostels located in this college comprises of only the boys hostels and the girls hostels, where up to 900 students can be housed. The central library in the Brahmagupta block includes books, journals and digital resources for users with 64 MBPS internet access. The campus also boasts well endowed laboratory facilities for different engineering specializations, computer laboratory and an internet laboratory with advanced computational servers. In terms of fitness, there is fully equipped and advanced Gymnasium and sports complex. The college also has the transport facility with more than 40 buses operate in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram district.

    The institute has a wide spectrum of educating courses with 7 of them on Bachelor’s and 5 on Master’s degree. The B.Tech programs include Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics and Communication Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Mechatronics Engineering; and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. NCERC is a leading college at postgraduate level which offers M.Tech specializations in VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering, Energy Systems and Cyber Security, MBA, and MCA.

NCERC Thrissur admission process is through a systematic way that abides by guidelines by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other regulatory agencies. The JEE Main or KEAM scores are by far the most important for NCERC Thrissur admission process into the B.Tech programmes, which are undergraduate programmes. National-level and state-level entrance examinations, such as JEE Main, are considered for B.Tech admissions. NCERC Thrissur admission process typically begins in January, with the academic year starting around August-September.

    The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores are taken into account for M.Tech admissions whereas the MBA programmes are admitted on the basis of scores obtained from the Common Admission Test (CAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), or Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT Kerala). Each of the programmes is approved for an intake of 60 students with the exception of Computer Science and Engineering which has an intake of 120 students.

    NCERC Thrissur M.Tech Admission Process

    The institute allows for four M.Tech specialisations, namely VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering, Energy Systems and Cyber Security. NCERC Thrissur admission process is based on valid GATE scores, but this requirement is relaxed for management quota candidates.     Many facilities in this college include Wi-Fi connections, labs, classrooms, and libraries. Everything is not good, but it is not an issue. Some departments share labs for experiments. Actually, I am not living in the hostel. I am a day scholar, and one of my friends said the hostel facility is not bad, but the fees are high.

    The college is located at a good peaceful place with good ambience. It has one of the best infrastructure facilities among all the top colleges in Thrissur dist. College is providing free Wi-Fi to all the students and it's staffs. All labs are well-equipped with the latest computers and all have windows 11. Classrooms are not conjusted have lot of space and it has also led tv by which most of the teachers take class. It has a very huge Library with lot and lot of reference book and much more and can be accessed at time during the college hours.
