NCERC Thrissur Admission Process

Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC), Thrissur, is an institution offering numerous undergraduate and postgraduate educational programmes in engineering and management. NCERC Thrissur admission process aims at selecting the most talented and deserving candidates through various all-India and state-level entrance examinations. NCERC Thrissur admission process is through a systematic way that abides by guidelines by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other regulatory agencies. The JEE Main or KEAM scores are by far the most important for NCERC Thrissur admission process into the B.Tech programmes, which are undergraduate programmes. National-level and state-level entrance examinations, such as JEE Main, are considered for B.Tech admissions. NCERC Thrissur admission process typically begins in January, with the academic year starting around August-September.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores are taken into account for M.Tech admissions whereas the MBA programmes are admitted on the basis of scores obtained from the Common Admission Test (CAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), or Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT Kerala). The entry into the MCA programme is done through the Kerala MCA Entrance Examination conducted by LBS. Basic eligibility criteria for B.Tech course are completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as the main subjects. For the postgraduate programmes, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant field along with the minimum percentage of marks required for admission by the institute.

NCERC Thrissur Application Process

The admission application for NCERC varies according to programmes:

For B.Tech programmes:

  • Qualify entrance JEE Main or KEAM examination.
  • Apply through respective counseling processes (JoSAA for JEE Main or KEAM counseling).
  • In the counseling process, select NCERC and preferred courses.
  • If allotted a seat, report to NCERC for document verification and fee payment.

For M.Tech programmes:

  • Get valid GATE score (relaxed for management quota).
  • Apply directly to NCERC or through centralised admission process, if any.
  • Attend interviews or any other tests, if required by the department.
  • Complete all admission formalities if selected.

For the MBA programme:

  • Appear for CAT, CMAT, or KMAT Kerala examination.
  • Apply to NCERC as per respective entrance exam score.
  • Participate in the institute's selection process, which may include written ability test and personal interview.
  • Complete all admission formalities if selected.

For the MCA programme:

  • Qualify by the Kerala MCA entrance examination.
  • Apply through the centralised admission for MCA in Kerala.
  • Complete admission formalities at NCERC if allotted a seat.

NCERC Thrissur admission process is based on merit. 

NCERC Thrissur B.Tech Admission Process

NCERC offers seven B.Tech programmes with an admission capacity of 480 seats. NCERC Thrissur admission process shall be based on JEE Main or KEAM scores for programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Each of the programmes is approved for an intake of 60 students with the exception of Computer Science and Engineering which has an intake of 120 students.

NCERC Thrissur M.Tech Admission Process

The institute allows for four M.Tech specialisations, namely VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering, Energy Systems and Cyber Security. NCERC Thrissur admission process is based on valid GATE scores, but this requirement is relaxed for management quota candidates. The approved intake for VLSI Design and Computer Science and Engineering is 18 seats each, while Energy Systems and Cyber Security have 9 seats each.

NCERC Thrissur MBA Admission Process

The MBA programme of NCERC has an approved intake of 60 students. NCERC Thrissur admission process is based on a CAT, CMAT, or KMAT Kerala score. Candidates should go through the final selection process, which may include a written ability test or a personal interview.

NCERC Thrissur admission process for the MCA course is 60 students. NCERC Thrissur admission process is followed by LBS in conducting the entrance examination in kerala for MCA.

The faculty members are highly qualified for all mechanical, electrical, automobile, robotics and automation courses. Some teachers are our college alumni, and others are from VIT and top Indian universities. The curriculum is based on APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Exams are conducted by the college, and the exam halls are under CCTV surveillance.

To make sure you have all the right details and are not misled by people who are unaware, I would request you to contact the respective authorities of the institution and it would definitely benefit you as they have all the adequate knowledge.

Most colleges dont mention the management quota procedure and fee structure on the college websites as they are under their respective university norms, and the management quota procedure varies from candidate to candidate and also from institution to institution tremendously.
