Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure at Nilachal Polytechnic is decent and provides the basic facilities required for students. The classrooms are well-structured and have enough space to accommodate students comfortably. The labs are available for practical learning, and they help students understand concepts better, although some equipment may need improvement. The library contains useful academic books and materials which support students in their studies. The campus environment is clean and organized, which creates a good atmosphere for learning. There are also basic facilities like drinking water, seating areas, and common spaces for students. While the infrastructure is not highly advanced or modern compared to top institutions, it is sufficient for students who are focused on building their fundamentals. Overall, the college infrastructure is good and supports academic activities properly, but there is still scope for improvement in terms of modernization and advanced facilities.
