Nirmala College of Engineering, Thrissur (NICE) is one of the leading college is established in the year 2011. This affiliated college is located in Meloor, Chalakudy, Kerala and the college is situated at ten and one acres area. NICE is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education )AICTE New Delhi) and presently offers a number of engineering and management courses. The collage has a strength of 292 students and 108 faculty members, it has got proper environment for education. NICE provides 17 courses in 3 degrees; mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science, mechatronics, food engineering and technology, artificial intelligence and data science.

The college has a range of engineered tremendous amenities to cater for students’ academic and personal needs. The library is a place containing many textbooks, journals, and references as well as the sources of e-journals; such as ASTM J-Gate, and IEEE. There are facilities for volleyball, basketball, cricket and rebounding for badminton players among others. The latest computer center with internet connection facility is available, and the councilling canteen provides both veg and non veg foods. NICE also possesses well equipped seminar halls, laboratories, hostels for boys as well as girls. The college has also transport facilities from a number of centers and thus students and staff can easily commute.

Nirmala College of Engineering, Thrissur, prepares their students to meet the challenges of today’s curriculum with broad curricula. The institute offers 17 courses comprising full time B.Tech in all engineering disciplines, MBA and diploma courses. The B.Tech programs are of duration of four years and the MBA programme is two year programme and the diploma programmes are of a three year duration. This college has a total approved intake of students in all the programmes offered by the college as 780 students. For instance,-degree programs comprise B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering with 60 intakes for each of them, Computer Science and Engineering, which also has 60 intakes, and Mechatronics Engineering that has only 30 intakes.

The methods of enrolment in Nirmala College of Engineering is majorly through examinations. For B.Tech programmes the candidate must have passed the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.
