Pfutsero Government College, Pfutsero Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Library is as old as the institution itself. Among its collections are study materials that have aided the students’ knowledge needs for over 35 years. In 2009, the college came under the umbrella of the Government of Nagaland, and since then, the library has been growing. The college library caters to knowledge and services to about 300 students, 40 college staff, and interested research scholars. In recent years, due to the pressing demands for quality education across the nation, the library has invested in the upgradation and automation of its services. The library has registered under INFLIBNET Delhi for its IMLS and installed SOUL 2.0 for its automation services. It is semi-automated, and attempts will be made to fully atomize in the near future. The library has a collection of 3,200 books and has also initiated a subscription to journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, e-journals, e-books, e-novels, and reports that will help students enrich their learning and research resources.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College Canteen started under the initiative of Dr Watijungshi Jamir in 2014. A canteen committee was also formed in the same year in order to monitor the menu, quality, and price of the food. The College has a well-furnished canteen within the campus which offers many different types of delicious delicacies. The canteen is the most preferred place for every student, where much time is spent. In addition to satisfying one’s hunger and thirst, a lot of serious discussions also happen in the canteen on topics of current interest.

The college has an excellent IT infrastructure for students.

The College has installed a Wi-Fi facility, and the Library is semi-automated with Soul 2.0 software.

The college has a health centre with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has an Extracurricular activities facility for all students.

The college also provides Training and Placement opportunities for all the students.
