Prasanna College of Pharmacy, Dakshina Kannada Admission Process

Prasanna College of Pharmacy, situated in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, is a fairly emerging institution that trains students for pharmacy education with the particular emphasis on turning out effective professionals in that field. Prasanna College of Pharmacy has organized an admission system according to the steps laid down by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) which happens to be the approving authority of this college.

  1. Notification: The college will officially inform the bid process through its notification in the official medium.

  3. Document Submission: The duly filled-up application form should be submitted along with relevant documents usually composed of:

    • 10th and 12th marks sheets

    • Transfer Certificate

    • Migration Certificate, if applicable

    • Caste Certificate in case of reserved category

    • Entrance Exam Score Card, if applicable

    • Passport-size photographs

  4. Application Fee: The applicant is required to pay the application fee as prescribed. Modes of payment and the application fee to be paid will be available in the application form.

  5. Entrance Exam: If the entrance exam score is accepted by the college, the candidates must ensure that they have appeared in the relevant entrance exam and detailed their scores on the application.

  6. Merit List: Eligible candidates based on merit will be published and will have merit-based score (if required) in academic merit and entrance exam ranks prepared.

  7. Counseling: Candidates may be called for counseling based on the shortlist, wherein they may choose their preferred course based on merit and availability.

  8. Confirmation of Admission: After allotment of seat, the candidates must pay the prescribed fees and submit the original documents to claim their admissions.

  9. Orientation: Orientation is compulsory for all confirmed students before starting their studies.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Bachelor of Pharmacy consists of a four-year undergraduate degree program offered by Prasanna College of Pharmacy, with a sanctioned intake of 100 seats for the program. The admission normally happens on the premise of relative merit achieved by a candidate in the qualifying examination (10+2)/ entrance examinations and subsequent counselling rounds whereby candidates are assigned seats based on their merit and preferences.

D.Pharm: Offered by the college for two years, the Diploma in Pharmacy has a sanctioned intake of 60 seats. Broadly, admission to D.Pharm is based on the marks in the 10+2 examination, emphasizing science subjects. Some states may conduct independent entrance examinations for admission to D.Pharm, which the college is likely to consider during selections.
