RIMS Raichur: Admission 2026, Cutoff, Courses, Fees, Placements, Ranking

Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences admission includes courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. MBBS is the only course available at the UG level. However, MS in Orthopaedics and Anatomy, MDs in General Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Paediatrics, and the like are offered as part of the RIMS PG courses. Appearing and passing the NEET (for undergraduate courses) and NEET PG (for postgraduate courses) is a must and without that candidates can not gain admission to this college. In MBBS, 85% of RIMS seats are reserved under state quota whereas 50% of seats in the case of PG courses. Candidates are advised to meet the required RIMS eligibility criteria first and then begin with the application. Notification regarding admission to MBBS and MD/MS courses is released every year by the NTA (National Testing Agency).

RIMS MBBS Admission Procedure

• Candidates must meet the required eligibility criteria first. 

• Appearing and passing NEET is compulsory.

• Candidates after clearing the cutoff can apply through online counselling.

• Seats will be allocated on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination.

• Candidates will be provided with an allotment order that needs to be provided at the college.

• Submission of documents, filling out the application form, and paying the course fees have to be done at the college before the due date.

Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences PG course includes MD and MS degrees of 3 years. The information about the total number of seat intake and required eligibility is provided in the below table.

RIMS PG Admission Procedure

• Candidates must satisfy the specified eligibility criteria as their initial step. 

• Successful passing of the NEET PG examination is mandatory. 

• Once candidates clear the cutoff, they can start the application process through online counselling. 

• The allocation of seats will be determined based on the scores achieved in the entrance examination. 

• Candidates will receive an allotment order, which must be presented at the college. 

• Prior to the deadline, candidates are required to complete document submission, application form filling, and course fee payment at the college.

• SSLC marks sheet.

• PUC / 10+2/ MBBS marks sheet.

• Internship Completion Certificate and State Medical Council Registration Certificate(for PG course)

• Rank letter.

• Eligibility certificate from RGUHS Bengaluru. (if the student has passed PUC / 10+2  in other than PU board)

• Migration certificate (if the student has passed PUC / 10+2 in other than PU board)

• Date/place of birth certificate.

• Rural/Urban / Kannada medium /HK certificate.

• Transfer certificate and study certificate.

• Domicile certificate/residence proof.

• Caste certificate(for reserved category students)

• Income certificate.

• Physical fitness certificate.

• Declaration.

• 5 passport-size photos.

• Soft copies of all documents (each document to be scanned and named in separate files in pdf format and passport size photo in jpeg format) in pen drive.

• The students are informed to submit the original certificates shown above with 3 sets of attested Xerox copies of all documents without fail along with 3 affidavits (annexure 1 [part 1& part 2],    annexure – 9).

Note: The above-listed documents are required to be submitted to the college before the due date, failing to do so will result in seat cancellation. The reservation norms as specified by the state government are followed in seat allocation.
