The Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in Bioinformatics is a full time 100 credit program offered by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) ( BV (DU) ) in its constitutive unit Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT and Biotechnology , Pune. The Institute has excellent infrastructure, faculty, state - of - art laboratories, and library to provide appropriate learning facilities and environment. The Institute is approved by UGC to conduct graduate and post graduate courses in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics and the University itself is reaccredited by NAAC and accredited by Ministry of MHRD , Government of India with ‘A’ grade .

The expectations of the Bioinformatics industry and research are envisaged while designing the M.Sc. Program. The feedback of students, faculty, employers and parents has contributed in giving an industrial accord to this curriculum.

The duration of this course is two years (four semesters). The medium of instruction and examination will be only English.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the course is open to any graduate of any recognized university satisfying the following conditions

Graduate in any discipline of Science and Tech nology. (e.g. B.Sc. /BCS/B . Pharm . / MBBS /BDS / BHMS/BE etc.) with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate .
Post graduate in any discipline of Science and Technology with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) .
Subject to the above conditions, the final admission is based solely on the merit at the all India entrance test (MBI) conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).

Admission Details

Admission to the M.Sc. Bioinformatics is now open. Students will be admitted to M.Sc. Bioinformatics course in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT & Biotechnology, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test
