My experience at SRKR engineering college has been mixed. The college has some genuinely good aspects, especially student life , cultural activities and fests, but there are several areas where improvement is needed , The campus has a limited space and there's no proper playground. The overall infrastructure needs development and coming to labs they need need improvement some of them are outdated and the library is ok and provide a reasonable space for studying and toilet area should be cleaned and the gym is extremely small with poor equipment and there's no proper playground it should be improved.

I'm studying mechanical engineering and i genuinely have interest in that course and about the quality of teaching, some of the teachers support us in building our carries but some are just so lazy to teach and some of them just wanna irritate students and i don't think this study makes me job ready , If you wanna get a job you should study more than you've learned in class

Placements are an area where I feel there's considerable scope for improvement.The quality and number of opportunities could be better from my experience and observations, there can also be issues with the way placement activities are coordinated and managed, which can be frustrating for students.Greater transperency and consistency in the placement process would be beneficial

Pretty good placements. Almost 90% of the students get placed in well known brands and companies. Hamdard has it's own laboratory so it's beneficial for students and also a plus point to get placed there. But yes you have to be well eligible for that. Academics matters alot.

The best part is faculty, all teachers are very supportive and they explain topics very clearly. They also help students for competitive exams. Teaching quality is much better than other private degree colleges in Shahjahanpur

My college is a degree college so placement is not like engineering colleges, but teachers are very helpful for future. They guide us for government jobs, teaching jobs and for higher studies like MA and http://B.Ed. Some students got jobs in private schools and offices through teacher's guidance. My campus life in this college is very good and peaceful. Campus is clean and green with friendly environment. No ragging is there and seniors are very helpful. College organizes some small cultural programs and annual function. Students are from nearby villages and town, so everyone behaves friendly. BMS College of Engineering, has a rather small campus in the heart of the city (basavanagudi) so expect less facilities in terms of sports and other extra curricular activities. However the classrooms for computer science (my dept) are fairly new and are equipped with wifi and are well maintained. hostels of bmsce are not in-campus and are spread out in various parts of the city (all near the campus itself). The living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic and fairly tasty.

I am studying BE in computer science engineering because of my own interest in the field. The quality of teaching is fairly good but one should'nt rely 100% on the content provided in class and self study is expected. The faculty are mostly approachable and are fairly regular and punctual and adhere to the class timings. However there are no highly qualified teachers with industry experience. However the curriculum is updated regularly and various courses like skill labs (to develop industry skills for practical applications) are being introduced which can vastly benefit students.
Placements
Placement in this college are highly dependent on the branch we have chosen. However for branches coming under computer science cluster, placements are decent. The placement statistics of every year can be found in the official website of BMSCE. I am currently studying in 2nd year so i havent directly been in contact with the placement office however from what i have heard the placement cell is supportive and help the students to get their desired roles. The average package is around 11-15 LPA in computer science branch according to recent statistics

Campus life is very good. There are many clubs which a student can join including various technical, cultural, sports clubs. The campus location is very safe and has a hospital just opposite to the campus so it can handle emergencies.

The college is of decent size, but the intake is pretty high. Around 50% of the classes have AC's, smart boards and projectors, but the 1st-year building has none of these. They have equipped the Mechanical and Civil departments really well with machines (e.g 3D printing, Lathe machines, etc.), and all the labs on campus have basic working equipment. They have a system of even floor lift and odd floor lift but they don't manage to carry everyone efficiently. Overall, the campus is well maintained.

Most of the teachers have good knowledge of the subjects that they are teaching. They are chill and friendly. The subjects we had in the 1st year were common, but the syllabus was related to our respective branches(e.g we had physics for CSE, civil, etc.). I would say it is 25% teaching and 75% self-study, but they provide good study materials. They are trying to add new elements to make us job-ready.

Because I am currently in the 3rd sem now, I don't have much experience or a clear idea about the placement process yet. 2026 Batch is the 1st batch to graduate from my department, so there isn't much past placement data to compare with.

There are many clubs in the college, and almost every day there is some event happening. Co-curricular activities are also given importance here, and they provide a lot of opportunities for students to take part in different activities. They conduct 2 fests every year: UTSAV, the cultural fest, and PHASE SHIFT, the technical fest. Students come from all over India. The metro station and the bus stops are also at a walkable distance from the college, which is pretty convenient.

I completed my B.Com in Corporate Finance, integrated with US CPA, in April 2026. I chose this course because of my interest in finance and accounting and the additional exposure to US CPA concepts. The curriculum covered areas such as accounting, corporate finance, auditing, taxation, financial markets and related subjects. The quality of teaching was generally good, with faculty members who were knowledgeable and approachable. The course involved presentations, assignments, practical problems and other academic activities, which helped in understanding concepts beyond just theory. The US CPA integration also provided exposure to professional accounting concepts. The academic workload could be demanding, particularly during examinations and internal assessments, but it helped maintain consistency in studies. Overall, my academic experience provided me with a good foundation in finance and accounting and helped me understand the practical application of the concepts covered in the course.

Campus life at Mount Carmel College was one of the most memorable parts of my college experience.
