Infrastructure of the college is not upto mark, especially of ECE department,it feels like ECE is not an integral part of this college as it is located about 2 km far from other departments. However ,there are sufficient facilities available whatever is required academic wise. Smart boards are there in each class. A very well maintained library with WiFi and enormous collection of books.
Academics
I am pursuing B.Tech in ECE . Attending class regularly and just revising the topics before exams can get you good grades,this is the level of teaching by the professors.However professors are very much concerned only about the syllabus,they have nothing to do with job related study.(I am talking about ECE department).
Placements
This academic year (2019-2020) , placements were awesome .Most of the seniors are placed, many were lucky enough to get placed in dream companies. The average package ,I guess is about 4lpa,and the maximum was 29lpa CTC.

The college itself is located at a prime location that attracts the people to have a glance at it. Talking about the infrastructure, it is one of a kind. It provides all types of facilities starting from well equipped classes, a library, computer labs and a canteen. There is also a boys hostel in the campus which is well maintained. Apart from studies, many extra curricular events are held every year such as sports, cultural events, etc.

I have completed my B.Com in this prestigious college where there is so much of competition. Most of the faculties hold a PHD degree and their teachings are outclass apart from some of the faculties. We got the privilege to interact with the faculties on a one-to-one basis and they used to give their best in clearing our doubts.

Many companies come for campus recruitment such as ITC, Asian Paints, HDFC, Amul, etc. The placement process goes smoothly with all the necessary steps and gives a great learning to the students. Not only it gives the opportunity to the MBA students but also many a times companies visit for the recruitment of B.Com students.

This college gave me end number of memories to be cherished forever. Starting from college freshers, sports week, cultural night to college election, I have actively participated in all of these events and they were the best part of my college life. The teachers are so supportive towards motivating us. The college is located in R.G Baruah Road, which is a prime location and one of the safest places for students. In case of any medical emergency, our college also provides ambulance 24*7.

The college has good quality of placements. And the college has training and placement cell for students. Salary package offered was good. The highest package was of 14 lakh and average was around 3.5 lakh. Yes the college is very supportive.

First of all , the infrastructure is really old and untidy. No attention is given to the cleaning part.The classrooms are so conjested and suffocating. Hostels are dirty and the mess food is as expected the worst. Electrical wiring of the hostels is another menace, it trips more often than not and there are frequent power cuts with no backup arrangement.

Only a few teachers are good and want to teach students while the rest are just old and grumpy teachers who are there just for doing the formality . The curriculum is outdated and there is a acute shortage of internships.

While most of the students are placed off-campus , some of the really good students are placed on-campus. Though the packages are somewhat better as compared to the other similar colleges in the region,but still there are less number of placements .

Thakur College of science and commerce in terms of infrastructure facilities and equipment are excellent. Each class have Projectors in the classroom and they are used frequently with the facility of Air conditioner in the classroom. The college maintain cleanliness and food of the college canteen is hygienic.

I am a graduate student from Thakur College of science and commerce. I have completed B.M.S in marketing the reason for selecting this course was I learnt about how to take steps in new business with the knowledge of books giving me a complete guidelines to run a successful business. The quality of teaching is average. Teachers support in studies and queries is very low if teacher have a good relationship with you they will help you out in every situation.

Quality of placement from our college is good as per my knowledge each year there are 200+ students get placement from our college to top companies like Mahendra they hire minimum 150 students per year from our college. They offer Salary upto 3 to 5lac PA. (For freshers commerce)

Classrooms are really spacious. The college is kept clean. The college is spacious. There are sufficient laboratories with sufficient equipments. Outdoor game facilities are available which include games such as Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, etc. There is a gym in the college which have exercise equipments. We have indoor games such as Table Tennis, Pool, Carrom, etc. We have a Computer classroom which is big with many computers in it.
