The college has a very good infrastructure and top facilities for students and the faculty the college is about 65 acres and it is surrounded by greenery around it and we have well maintained classrooms there are two main library in our college and the biggest library is Dr OP bhalla library. It provides with digital books also and the living space is clean and the food provided in the College canteens is hygienic
Academics
The Academics is also very good and the quality of teaching is good the teachers are very helpful and supportive and most of the teachers are PhD holder and the curriculum is updated every year in all the recent developments fields

The placement cell in our college is good last year many companies visit our college. The highest package offered was 15 lakhs per annum and the average salary offered was 3.5 lakhs per annum and the placement process is easy and pleasant

I am studying btech in specilization with ibm in big data. The quality of teaching is excellent. The curiculum is Updated. There is a cdc which makes you job ready.Cdc makes you do prepration for the placements. If you give your 100 percent it will make you job ready.

The placment of cse is hundred percent where as other branches have low placment ratio. The avreage sallary offered for cse is 4 lakh per annum. The placment process is always very easy and pleasant. The college is very supportive and excellent during your whole period.

Since it is one of the oldest premier educational institution in Guwahati it has seen continuous upgrade in it's infrastructure and facilities over time. A huge campus with spacious classrooms, air conditioned digital classes, auditorium, gymnasium, canteen, library, computer lab, common rooms for both boys and girls, playground and other basic facilities etc provided are of the best standards. It also provides hostel facility for boys as well.

I have completed my Bachelor of Commerce in 2018 from this college. The quality of education is exceptionally good due to having highly educated and experienced teaching faculty. Since the college is affiliated under Gauhati University, our course follows the university curriculum which has been updated over the years and provides fair opportunities for the students to be job-ready. However much update is still required to be made in the overall curriculum.
Placements
Placements are a critical part of a student's educational journey. However only a b.com degree won't suffice today's industry needs. The college has a placement cell and few companies does come to the college for campus interviews but it is not enough to recruit the majority of the whole batch. Professional degrees such as MBAs that the college also provides are majorly recruited in such scenarios.

The facilities of wifi is provided within the classrooms though the me department don't require it while in class. Each department and each year have their own classroom. Workshops and labs have all the requirements needed for a student. One get 4 library books every semester and they can keep it for the whole semester. 2. The facilities in the hostels are quite good. For ladies Hostel the quality and variety of food is good. Even an aunty comes to provide the breakfast.

The teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable. They help us whenever we go to their cabin. They ask us to call them anytime we don't understand any part of the syllabus. 2. The course curriculum is relevant. But for making the students industry ready they have to take industrial training.

92% of the total students are placed in different companies this year.The highest salary offered was 15 lakh. The lowest salary is 8 lakh. Average salary is about 7 lakh.TCS, Tech Mahindra come to recruit from the mechanical department of jgec. Roles like designer, worker in factories are given to the students.100% students got internships in various companies like DSP, NTPC, Mahindra and Mahindra and other big companies.

Yeah quality of teaching is amazing since to be a lecturer in GiT you should have PhD or Mtech as the basic criteria which makes the quality of teaching automatically better. Yeah the placements is good for circuit branches like e and e and CS. The highest package was 12lakhs for CS but the placements for core branches have a very bad record over here. The average salary is around 3lakhs

Our campus is wonderful. The structure of the library is unique. The equipment in the labs are upgraded and of latest technology. All the facilities like Sports ground, ATM and Canteen is inside the campus itself. There is 24*7 Wifi facility in hostels. Also LAN connections are there in every room of the hostel.

The academics is good. The teachers are really well educated. I have studied ECE for 4 years. For the development of the students test and quiz are organized. They basically focus on the theorical method so i will suggest that practical projects and assignments should be given more to the students.

The placement is not good. Till our batch there was no placement. This may be due to the area. But last year few companies came and so the condition is improving. Though the package they were offering is not to high but placement committee is trying to brings MNCs

Thie college campus is not so large but nice . The campus life is good . There are two ground for playing cricket , football , badminton , volley etc . There are some clubs for cultural , sports , technical activities . The staffs of this college are so helpful and supportive . Thye location is good . Within 5 minutes one can reach Sonarpur station and also one can reach the Garia metro station within 20 minutes . This college campus is safe and can handle emergencies .
