I completed my B.tech in mechanical engineering from DUIET. The quality of education is good. Most importantly the faculties are friendly and homely. The curriculum is well updated according to industry needs.
Placements
Placements are average. 10% is placed is PSUs with very good package. Other than that private firms and companies comes for recruitment but that changes year to year. Pool campus opportunities are there.

Campus life is great. Laksminath Bezbaruah library and the University park creates a perfect balance of fun and studies

Infrastructure of college is good but day by day it being an old college which has broken walls, windows , furniture, etc. In sense of building it's not upto mark but equipments of lab , laboratory, and classes it is an average college, and other thing wifi is not for student use .

As I took admission in this college so I was familiar with the known fact that it is a tier 3 college so you can expect it's placement record , if it would have good placement so definitely it would be an another BITs, pilani but is good as a tier 3 college must have.

Campus life is enjoyable only because of it's cultural and technical fest including chakkra the change, sports fest, technical fest cross road the way to success, other one like freshers and fairwell, you will enjoy every year with a small gap but not because of it's infrastructure.

No doubts regarding acadamics . Classes are all well equipped with projectors and the class are wide enough able to hold students without any problem. Teachers here are nice and they will help you out anyway possible.

100% for CSE. Regarding the current trend more than 60 companies will be arriving to the college. Students are allowed to attend aptitude test and if particular student is capable enough despite of its studying year he can appear to the interview and rest is on his own hands.l

St. Xavier's College, Kolkata has all the basic and necessary facilities and equipment. It has very good science laboratory will all modern and latest apparatus. Classrooms are kept neat and tidy and all have a projector and screen which is used for teaching. The campus is very huge and there is a good canteen too! Wifi connection is available but the password is mostly not shared with the students.

I graduated from St. Xavier's in B.Sc Chemistry because i liked the way the course was structured and I genuinely had a liking for the subject from the beginning of college. The academics which were taught here were very easy at the beginning level and slowly as time progressed, it gets more complex and challenging. Most of the courses do make you job ready depending on the job you ultimately take up.

During my time as a student, there were huge giant pharmaceutical companies which had come to college to employ the students. However, I had not taken that opportunity since i had other plans to complete my M.Sc too. Most of my friends took the chance and are doing well even today. Our placement is 80% this year. About 180 companies visited our college. Every department got proper placement. The highest package was of 9 lakh and avr of 3-4 lakh. The placement cell of our college is very active and equally supportive. It makes our placement easy for us.
