our college has very good infrastructure and have good facilities. our classes are not that much in infrastructure but we have a facilities like projectors ,smart tv's .we have adequate laboratories with fine equipment .for boys they allocated spacious ground but for girls there is not ground . we are contributed with wifi 24/7 and hygiene food.

As I heard the placements are very good. The Japanese and German languages are very helpful for getting high packages. The faculty of the college is very good. For each subject we have lectures, practicals and tutorials. Almost all the teachers who take our lectures have a phd degree. Moreover we also have lms(a website where we get a lot of e content like recorded lectures assignments and a lot more)

The placements at thapar have always been very good. Around 90% of the students are placed. The highest salary went upto 43 lacs and it went to computer engineering course. The average salary remaisn around 8-9 lacs

It's infrastructure is great and since it is old there might be some issues but overall its great, with all the needed infrastructure, laboratories, facilities, and equipment. Classrooms, laboratories and especially the library is of great help. hygiene maintenance is ok. Toilets can be much cleaner if paid attention.

I studied bsc major in economics. I have constantly loved arts and economics. The professors are fantastic at what they do. They honestly help you apprehend and love what you study. This College is exceptional and i am happy that i decided to study here, it really helped me in building my career.

The college does not have a placement cell. They have higher studies option . Placement isn't presented though internships are available for those who want. Which absolutely prepares you for being an intern, it also encourages on every occasion to join seminars to open paths for new destiny.

Average, neither good nor too bad
College Infrastructure
The college has an average infrastructure - small but efficient library, reading room, small but maintained gardens. The best buildings consist of the two auditoriums - main and mini which are really good. However, the canteen area is very small and heavily crowded and the college does not have a maintained sports ground or sports activity place. The classrooms are also not good, and are akin to those found in government schools.
Academics
The syllabus of the college (which follows Panjab University) is outdated and very theoretical. Almost no practical knowledge is gained, at least in the BA program. The quality of teachers depends on case to case. Some teachers are really good, whereas others are terrible at their job. One reason for the poor quality other than the syllabus is the high students to teacher ratio.
Placements
The placements are done for Bcom and BBA students only, and even those offer only low packages. BA students on rare occasions can also apply and compete for those placements. Although my experience is only as a third year student who attended the course online due to the pandemic.
Campus Life
The best thing about the college is its location - Chandigarh, which is a beautiful well planned place. There is no security issue for girls and accommodation is easily available at a low price. In the college, there are various fests held each other and the students can involve in activities like debating, dancing, theatre, etc. The college is the best in the city, but don't expect bright and ambitious students here; most students come from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The basic amenities however are well provided for such as bank , dispensary , canteen etc. Food however is not nearly good enough . Gym too is not at all up to the mark . The quality of placement has been great at my college. Candidates get good placement every years. My collage is trying hard to get placed every candidate in this covid-19 situation. All classrooms and labs at are air-conditioned and are wi-fi enabled.

Faculty is both good and bad. They aren’t too co-operative, on attendance. Some of the subjects are useless to study and they just put more burden on students. College starts at 9 am and end at 5 pm in the evening which is very hectic for a student.

Placement is good. Only few students get placements and the rest just get average placements which has no good salary. But quality of placement vary according to the student performance in academics,co-scholastic activities,sports and out-campus achievements.

Infrastructure is good and developed, and it is quite a lengthy campus. It lacks in the maintenance of its infrastructure. On financial status, the college is quite rich, but it doesn't show much in the expenses towards college infrastructure.

Faculty members are very good. There are some excellent teachers like Nachiketa sir and Bipin sir. All the teachers have a PhD. The course is very relevant as it talks about both India and the world, contemporary and the past. So it covers everything.

From our batch, 60-70% of the students got placed. The average salary package offered is around 3.5-4 LPA. Biggest recruiters are the big 4 accounting firms, i.e., E&Y, KPMG and Deloitte. Top roles offered in our course are in accounts and audit. The internship percentage is very high, and all the willing students got it.
