Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering is a four-year full-time course offered by Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and He/She has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling

Admission Details

Admissions to all B.Tech programs are made through Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) conducted by JCECE Board constituted by Govt of Jharkhand. Lateral entry to diploma holders in engineering and technology is made in the 3rd semester through competitive examination conducted separately for them. The number of seats through lateral entry in all branches are 10% of the normal seats.

College Infrastructure

BIT Sindri has a large campus with old but well-functioning labs, workshops and classrooms. Many buildings look outdated, yet the facilities for practical learning are strong. The library is big and full of technical books. Hostel infrastructure needs improvement, but overall, the campus is spacious and good for technical education.

Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri (BIT Sindri), formerly Bihar Institute of Technology Sindri, is an affiliated engineering college in Sindri, Jharkhand, India. College Infrastructure

College Infra is good with all the basic amenities fulfilled every branch has got its own building. Boys and Girls hostel are also available. The living spaces are clean and the whole campus is maintained fairly well
