The campus is fairly spacious with green surroundings and the main academic buildings are kept decently clean. In the CSE department our computer labs are equipped with functioning systems and internet access though during full practical sessions the connection can slow down a bit. Classrooms are well ventilated and the central library has a good collection of standard engineering reference textbooks. Sports grounds and canteen facilities are average offering basic snacks and tea.

I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE because of my interest in coding and software development. The faculty members are approachable and clear up doubts when approached after class hours. The curriculum follows the standard university syllabus, covering core fundamentals like C Data Structures and Database concepts. While the theory part is handled systematically you definitely need to do self-study through online resources platforms like Lee code and hands on side projects to become truly job ready for modern tech roles.

Campus placements are decent primarily driven by IT services firms and regional recruiters. Around 60–70 of eligible students from CSE usually get placed. The average package ranges between 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA while the highest packages reach around 7 to 8 LPA for top performers. Cracking higher tier product roles mostly depends on off campus efforts.

The campus is very green quiet, and spacious which makes walking between classes pleasant. In our CSE department, the computer labs have working systems with internet connectivity though systems can get a little slow when all batches are working at once. Classrooms are airy and have enough natural light. The library is clean and a peaceful spot to sit and revise notes with friends. The girls waiting rooms and restrooms are decent though they need more regular maintenance and cleaning throughout the day.

I joined Computer Science and Engineering to build a foundation in programming and software tools. The professors are respectful supportive and patiently explain topics again if we reach out after class hours. The syllabus covers core theoretical subjects like data structures algorithms, and database management well. However to become truly industry ready you canot depend only on classroom lectures I regularly follow online courses and practice coding on my own to keep up with industry trends.
Placements
Placement training starts with aptitude and soft skills sessions which really help in building interview confidence. Most recruiters who visit are service based companies and IT recruiters from the regional area. Around 60–65 of students from CSE secure job offers, with packages averaging around 3.5 to 4 LPA. If someone aims for high product based packages they have to put in individual effort through competitive programming and off campus recruitment drives.

The best part about campus life is the sense of safety and discipline. The security at the gates is alert the environment is anti ragging and female students feel comfortable moving around campus freely. We enjoy traditional days festival celebrations like Sankranti, and annual sports events. Bus and auto connectivity from all parts of Bhimavaram is straightforward, making daily travel easy and stress free.

Tha college is will be in less covered area, i think not like an average engineering college, but the infrastructure, equipments all will be good in the college. The Sport room facility is poor. Also when it comes to WiFi, I think it's 4/5, specifically to the corner room, or the top floor ; we will face poor signals. The living space will always be clean.

When it comes to teaching quality, it's excellent. We have experienced and well explaining faculties who always teaches well and also gives us seminars and make to present on some topic to build confidence in individuals. Not much stress for the assignments and all but those are compulsory to do too. The curriculum is updated, since our college is autonomous from the last 2 years, it updates accordingly.
Placements
Not bad, but also due to the recession period we haven't had a good percentage of jobs this year. I think since we became a deemed to be a university now, we are expecting a lot of opportunities further. The average salary offered could be 5 to 6 LPA. The college is supportive, the process will be smooth and easy, the college always provides propper instructions in the whatsapp community groups.

Although our campus area is little compare to others, we will have a great time. I think we will have fresh air in the corridors, we will chitchat with friends and the conversations feels so good. Faculties - students relation is also good. The worst features of our college can be like in our classrooms, we will have a connected switch for multiple fans/ combination of light & fan, that makes some disturbance in the class. And we don't know when the ACs in the lab works, not all the ACs are fault, only one or 2 among all of them. We will have some clubs, the interested students can participate events in that and we will have inaugurations to all those clubs. Mostly the clubs devices based on branch, technical, etc... Our college locates in a place where all the necessaries are available at near places. If not available , we have an online shopping like blinkit, Bigbasket, Instamart, etc. All the online applications like Amazon, Myntra, flipkart, meesho, Swiggy, zomato, toing, etc... will be available and we get delivery within the time limit. And the support staff is so cooperative and listens to our problems with patience. And sometimes we will get confusion to find where the staff room or where the teacher is, because we can not expect a teacher will sit only in his/her cabin constantly.

As per academics, our college is 5/5 When it comes to infrastructure, some facilities, it can be 4/5 The events will be less compared to other colleges, and even though if there is an event, we will have a time limit, within the timing the event will complete and makes the some disappointment, but we will get entertain too.

Based on the placement information shared by the institute and what I have observed among seniors, the college provides good opportunities, particularly for students from branches with strong demand in the IT and core sectors. The placement cell brings a range of companies, but the actual outcome depends considerably on the student's branch, skills, preparation and performance in the selection process. Students should not rely only on campus placements and should also build relevant skills and internship experience.

In general it's good. There are a lot of old buildings but they are improving a lot. Most of the labs have necessary equipments but there are old equipments as well. We have good spacious and smart classrooms. We do have a good library. Hygiene wise the food is fine and the living spaces are also good.

I am currently pursuing btech biotechnology in SRM. I wanted to do researches so I took it. The faculties are qualified from well known institutions and they will help you out if you are in need of it but you shouldn't expect them to teach everything, most of the time it's self learning. Yeah to a certain extend the curriculum is updated but still improvement is needed. Yes It does prepare me for the job that I need.

It's pretty good actually but the competition is very high. Last year the percentage of students placed was around 94% and the highest package offered is 60lpa. Cse courses are getting more placement opportunities. The average salary offered is 6.3lpa. SRM is quite supportive and they give you a lot of opportunities but you need to work a little more harder to get what you need.

Campus is very large but heavily crowded. Best thing about SRM is there are a lot of clubs to join and explore new things, even the faculties promote it a lot. Worst feature is the crowd itself. Students, teachers and support staffs are all approachable and they'll help you. The campus is safe and it can handle emergencies.

I'm studying bcom so the faculty is top notch. For an example, for accounts all the faculty are CA themselves so that helps a lot . We come under HBSU so the portion is different from what MU clgs have but again it's good .

The quality of placements are top notch. We have placement drive in our college where from all sectors big companies come . We have companies from marketing , accounts, finance ,hotel management etc .

I would say it's one of the most underrated college in Asia . Sydneham has its legacy of 113 years and has been the number 1 college in Asia at a time. Today we do lack a bit but the future will be bright for us . Sydneham provides evrything a student needs. I'm proud to be a sydnehamite. Our alumni's do visit us a lot and it's encouraging to see them back to their square one and it encourages us too to give as much as we can to our college .
