My study centre was located in Rohini Sector 8. The classroom itself was decent, and since I attended sessions in January, the cold weather made it fairly comfortable. However, I imagine during summer it would get quite congested given the room size. On practical days, the centre felt overcrowded a large number of students turned up, and almost half of them had to stand outside since there wasn't enough space. The centre does have a lab, but it's quite small and can't comfortably accommodate the number of students attending practicals. Overall, the infrastructure is functional but could use improvement, especially in terms of space for practical sessions.

I am pursuing BA Honours Psychology through IGNOU. I chose this mode of study mainly because of safety concerns for women in regular colleges in Indian society, so distance education felt like a more secure option and also the fees were affordable then an regular college. Since it's not a regular college, classes are held only on Sundays. One major issue I faced was the delay in receiving study materials they took very long to arrive by post, so I eventually had to visit my regional centre personally and collect them myself. Apart from this, the course content itself is decent for building a foundation in psychology, though better material delivery systems would make the experience much smoother for students.
Placements
Being a distance education university, IGNOU does not offer any dedicated placement cell or campus placement support for BA Honours Psychology students. There are no companies that visit for recruitment, and no formal assistance is provided in terms of resume building, interview preparation, or job referrals. Students pursuing this course are largely on their own when it comes to finding internships or jobs related to psychology. This is fairly expected for a distance learning mode, but it would still be helpful if IGNOU provided at least some career guidance, webinars, or resource material related to job opportunities and higher studies in psychology.

Our college is an outstanding, A graded in all spheres particularly with the faculties, all having higher qualification with a PhD degree, thereby providing quality education to students. Placements are basically non-existent here. There’s a placement cell on paper, but no structured campus drives, no major law firms, LPOs, or corporate legal teams visit campus. Most students have to find internships and jobs completely on their own. The college does share a few internship openings through faculty or alumni WhatsApp groups, but stipends are low, 3k-8k/month, and inconsistent. No PPO system exists. For final year students, there’s no placement week or recruitment drives. If you want litigation, they’ll connect you with a local advocate’s chamber, but that’s informal and unpaid/stipend-based. Corporate roles? You’ll have to apply off-campus. Support is minimal. Maybe 1-2 resume workshops per year, but no mock interviews, drafting tests, or recruiter interaction. Alumni network exists but isn’t active for placements. *Minimum I liked*: Faculty sometimes share internship contacts if you ask directly. That’s about it. Overall, don’t expect campus placements. On campus placements and alumni are good. There are almost 30 companies and every company is offering hood packages and the placements rate are pretty good. The curriculum provided with the placements is literally god level combo
Campus Life
I personally liked campus life a lot as I am a student here. There are so many co-cirricular activities and events out of which I have participated in may of them as well. There is debates, mun and conference events and events realted to sports and festivals as well.
