48 MonthsThis Programme of study leads to B.Sc Nursing Degree offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The Candidates who opt for nursing are necessarily required to possess high motivation towards Nursing Profession. They should possess special qualities of a spirit of altrusim, commitment and dedication to work with a high level of maturity. The academic year commences from the first week of September every year. Every year 60 students are admitted to this course. The students are provided with clinical experience in all clinical areas to enable the students to take up the first level positions in Nursing. However, with experience they can rapidly move into leadership and supervisory positions in various areas of Nursing education and practice. This programme provides the necessary foundation to take up post graduate and doctoral studies in Nursing.
Eligibility Criteria
1. A Candidate seeking admission should have;
(a) Passed the two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, with science subjects, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(b) Obtained at least forty-five percent of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination; if belonging to SCIST, should have obtained not less than forty percent of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination.
(c) Completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 31 st December of the year of admission
(d) Candidates who have passed VHSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology securing 45% marks are also eligible.
