Salesian College, Siliguri Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

My experience in this college has been really great. It was a whole new experience. The facilities in our college is pretty well, there are all the things available that is needed to be. It has good wifi also smart boards, speakers, ceiling fans in each classes. It has both washrooms in every floor. So far it’s well maintained.

I took up sociology hons, and honestly the teachers in our department are all good. The way they teach helps us to understand properly and they make us understand in a simple way as possible. So,Academic is also great.

In our batch, the placement was based by our class 10th markseet. Also, they conduct an interview and ask you few questions from the course that you’re interested in, so accordingly they will select you. They are quite supportive and it’s easy to get through.

The fee structure varies by program and its typically paid in four instalments and across the academic year ( July, October,January, and April). The fee structure is different for each department, It’s definitely worth it.

My campus experience was really great I would say. All the teachers and the students were equally friendly and helpful at the same time. There are lot of activities which usually happens often..It’s overall very fun.

The infrastructure of our college is amazing. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a smart board. A proper speaker and a mike also available in each classroom. Basic emerge medical facilities along with a nurse is there in the campus. Library with variety of books and not just syllabus books available along with a separate reading room. Even sports infrastructure is quite good.

Academically a good college. The teachers are highly qualified and take the lessons seriously. They are supportive and approachable. Most faculty members are quite experienced and teach very well. Seminars also conducted every now and then.

Average placements depending on one’s course. Depends on the student. On campus placements happen a few times but I think the college needs to improve in this field. The placement facilities are relatively new and low so I believe the college will definitely improve.

It is a Christian private college and the people from Christian religious community gets fee benefits. The fees are relatively on the higher end but quite less than many other private universities. However considering the facilities and the quality of education it definitely is worth the money.

Events - Cultural, Academic and Sports happen frequently. It is so much fun. The extra curricular activities make our college life fun and enjoyable. It is a way of making new friends and it pulls us out of our comfort zones so a very active college.

The college has the necessary infrastructure and basic facilities required for students. Classrooms are spacious and suitable for learning, with essential equipment and facilities. The campus has a friendly and positive atmosphere. Students and teachers are supportive and approachable, making it easy to feel comfortable and involved. Students can participate in various activities, events, cultural programmes and practical learning. Overall, I have had a good experience at this college. No

Great infrastructure. And since I'm a Geography student, I can happily say that the instruments and infrastructure is top notch. Saleisan has its own media house and radio station hence its a advantage.

The college is an Academic Sport. Since the college has autonomy there hold over their examinations and rules are obsolete. Hence the exams are taken very seriously and the students are motivated to get good grades.

There is definitely room for improvement in placements. There is no good and strong basis of placements especially for theoretical courses mainly deanery of arts and humanities. Hence I would like more placement opportunities for such courses.

It's a great college in siliguri. Since I'm a student whose degree is more involved in practicals, I can definitely speak more about the infrastructure. The college also provides one a good base to showcase their co curricular talents like music, dance, sports, theater, radio and more. The college has associations within them to promote their work of the department. And honestly the college is completely run by the work of the students to if you're interested to work for college, You're Welcome.

It is a fun experience of learning and growing. Also a proper system of educating the students. I love the process of learning also there's a huge range of other activities to showcase the talents of the students in other fields

I'm studying BA English. As I have been always inclined to literature. The college professors are highly qualified and provide one to one sessions in the class. Yes the NEP is strictly followed here .

Well honestly, the placement quality is really limited as far as me a student of the 2nd year is concerned. But the college provides internship as a must course in the UG term. The internships help students to find jobs.

The money used here is reasonable. The courses provided are really good and detailed. These helps us for better understanding. The money spent is worthy of spending. Courses are equipped with multimedia classes and seminars too.

The college has a huge field for playing outdoor games. It also has a basketball court. In the indoor games it has all the basic games like chess, Table tennis, carrom. The location of the college often creates a problem as it is near the city dumping ground and it causes breathing problems due to its smell.

The infrastructure of the college is quite impressive providing an environment for the students to learn and grow . The modern facilities like sports complexes, auditorium, playground foster a sense of community and encourage students to develop their skills. Not only this it also provides free Wi-Fi for the student as well as the teachers. For entertainment purposes many events are being held. The campus beautiful architecture provides a serene atmosphere not only to the eyes of the students but too everyone.

The academic programs at this college are designed to provide students with a comprehensive education that prepares them for their future careers. The curriculum is carefully crafted to balance theoretical foundations with practical applications, ensuring students gain a deep understanding of their chosen field.

The placement record at this college has been underwhelming. Despite the academic excellence of its students, the college struggles to secure significant placement opportunities. The statistics are stark, with only a small fraction of students - roughly one in ten - securing job placements.

Considering the college infrastructure and academics, I would give it a thumbs up. The campus is well-equipped with modern facilities, and the academic programs are comprehensive. However, the placement record is a major letdown, with only a small fraction of students securing job placements. Taking everything into account, I'd say the value for money is average. While the college excels in certain areas, the poor placement statistics hold it back from being a top-notch institution.

Campus life here is vibrant and engaging! Students can participate in various extracurricular activities, clubs, and events that foster camaraderie and creativity. The college's cultural festivals and sports competitions bring out the best in students, promoting teamwork and leadership skills. It's a great place to make lifelong friends and memories!

Nothing.

All the college infrastructure and facilities are updated and easy to used...it is constantly upgrading depending on the demands of students . All the living spaces are clean. All the labs are well maintained .

Currently studying psychology. The teachers are very friendly and cooperative. The teachings are very easy to understand due to the use of relevant examples, ppt, youtube videos and experiments rather than just focusing on theories. The curriculum is updated as per the education policy.

No placements for ba psychology . Salesian College provides limited placement opportunities for BA Psychology students. Most of us are encouraged to pursue higher studies, internships, or field training to build our careers.

While the course fee is reasonable, Psychology students have to pay for their own internships every semester, which are unpaid. Most opportunities come from outside the college. We have to do unpaid internships every semester, and we pay for them ourselves. Most career growth depends on further studies.

It is clean and spacious. Also very environment friendly... Nature all around.

The college has a very good infrastructure. It has 3 main blocks for science, arts and commerce respectively. The buildings are modern with smart teaching facilities. The college doesn't provide wifi facilities.

The college is mainly focused in studies. The faculties are focused on completing the syllabus. The syllabus is updated every year according to the latest requirements. The quality of teaching is also good.

The college promises to give good placements but is not so much keened on providing it. They provide certain job awareness but are not into providing hardcore placements. Thus, think wisely if you want good placements.

It is considered a wise decision if one decides to study in this college.

The campus is big and the students here enjoy the campus life.

The college is good but study as well as co-curriculars can't be taken sideways.

The college has huge infrastructure with different blocks for different field. 3 blocks are there known as the commerce block (Savio Block), arts block and the science block (Nazreth Block). Library facility is also there.

Great quality teachers with ample amount of experience. The curriculum is up to date and the domain knowledge is provided to students. Lots of activities are scheduled so that the students get all the required experience and knowledge.

Placements are provided to deserving candidates. Each candidate is given a fari chance to sit for the placements after evaluation of their performance through various modes. It is upto the student on how he/she performs.

It is value for money. The fee differs. During my time it was around 1.6 lacs for 3 years

Campus life is very good

Nice college life
