Prospective candidates must hold a Master's degree or a professional degree recognized as equivalent to a Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body.

A minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale (or its equivalent on a grading system, if applicable).

Alternatively, candidates may possess an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency. This accreditation should be approved, recognized, or authorized by an authority established or incorporated under the laws of the home country. The accrediting body must have the mandate to assess, accredit, or assure the quality and standards of educational institutions.
