36 MonthsMaster of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry is three years full-time course. Offered by Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai, and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
In this 3 years DCI approved the program, students receive extensive training in GA cases. Each student will treat at-least 50 patients under general anesthesia. This is the only department in India where patient up to 18 years is treated. This provides extensive exposure to traumatic injury management. Each graduate will perform atlas 4000 procedures which are higher than anywhere else in India.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
Admission Details
Admissions in the MDS course will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET MDS).
