Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Cardiovascular Technology (Cathlab) is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases through the use of advanced technology and procedures. This program is designed to train students in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the cardiac catheterization lab, or cath lab.

During the program, students learn about various aspects of cardiovascular technology, including anatomy and physiology of the heart, principles of electrocardiography, hemodynamics, cardiac imaging techniques, pharmacology, and patient care. They also gain hands-on experience in using equipment such as electrocardiogram machines, echocardiography machines, and cardiac catheterization equipment.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to work as cardiovascular technologists in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. They work alongside cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to perform procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and electrophysiology studies, and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases.

Age Limit: The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years of age in the year of admission.
