Chemical engineering is a multi-disciplinary branch of engineering that combines natural and experimental sciences (such as chemistry and physics), along with life sciences (such as biology, microbiology and biochemistry) with mathematics and economics to design, develop, produce, transform, transport, operate and manage the industrial processes that turn raw materials into valuable products.

B.Tech Chemical Engineering degree provides competitive and lucrative job opportunities in many fields like petrochemicals, oil and paints, food, dyestuff, polymers, biomedical and pharmaceutical industries, manufacturing, energy and environmental engineering sectors. The department has the robust and operative presence of national and international collaborations with industries and research labs like NCL, Pune and ICT, Mumbai. The department is further strengthened by its focused research on energy, environments and allied areas, fully equipped experimental and simulation laboratories with unique research facilities

Eligibility Criteria

For Indian Nationals:

A candidate should have secured a rank in Paper – 1 of JEE (Main) - For All India Quota

A candidate should have secured a rank in ACPC through GUJCET - For ACPC Quota

AND

A candidate should have passed the Qualifying Examination with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST) in aggregate in theory and practical of Physics & Maths (with Chemistry or Biology or Computer or Vocational Subject) from a single board.

For Foreign Nationals:

45% or its equivalent in the qualifying examination i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics), as applicable in the respective boards from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as the medium of instruction.
