72 MonthsA Ph.D. student will have to complete pre-Ph.D course work (duration 6 months) followed by research work under a supervisor, leading to the submission of a thesis. At the end of the course, the student will be able to
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of theory and existing research in physiology
- Synthesize existing knowledge, identify and access appropriate resources, and critically analyze and evaluate others’ findings to identify and design research questions in physiology
- Communicate research results in a manner appropriate to the scientific community
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate must have cleared post-graduate (PG) degree or equivalent of minimum duration of 2 years from a UGC recognized Indian / foreign university in respective discipline with score of minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA. A 5% relaxation in score for SC/ST/OBC i.e minimum of 50% in PG degree or equivalent CGPA is allowed.
- Online Entrance Examination of Sharda University followed by interview.
- Candidates with valid selection from NET / GATE / SET / UET / any other equivalent test conducted by GOI accredited agency (to be decided by the selection committee) are exempted from entrance test and get preference in selection. M.Phil. degree holders from UGC accredited universities are also exempted from entrance test.
