Shri Visnu College of Pharmacy, Bhimavaram Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college Health Care Centre has a resident general physician and a psychiatrist. A gynecologist visits the center during the appointed hours. It is equipped with supporting medical devices and an inpatient facility with two beds. An ambulance is provided along with it.

The college with candidates to stay fit and healthy, both boys and girls hostels are equipped with a gym and fitness center facilities – treadmill, exercise bikes, and more of the latest fitness equipment.

The college library and Information center. The college is one of the best Pharmacy college libraries in the state. Started its function with a vision to serve the information needs of its users, and it mainly holds books related to Pharmacy and allied subjects. The college established its library in the year 1997, with an area of 438.41 Sq.m. It is air-conditioned. The library collection is about 13705 Volumes and 3205 titles. The library’s rich collection contains Abstracts, Yearbooks, Textbooks, Theses, Dissertations, Encyclopedias, and General Books and novels. The library is also subscribing to 35 National journals, 21 International Journals, Back Volumes 879 (hard Copies), and 27 General Magazines. 

Digital Library :

The college Digital Library is equipped with 35 computers with high-speed Internet facility bandwidth of 20 Mbps. A Wi-Fi facility has been provided for Laptop users. The library has subscribed to full-text online databases, e-Journals, and e-Books like  DELNET, J-GATE, N-LIST, comprising more than 23000 e-journals and more than 29000 e-Books,  CiniRex, and Drugdex Database (Micromedex). We are having an iThenticate Plagiarism Checker (Turnitin) and GraphPad Prism Statistical software.  Our college library is a member of the DLI CLUB. The Library functions like Acquisition, Circulation control, Cataloguin,g and Serials Control. The OPAC facility has been automated using integrated software. 

The college has excellent sports and recreation facilities on campus, with dedicated facilities for tennis, basketball, badminton, yoga, and cricket. Students are trained by the Physical Director available on the campus. Students participate regularly in Inter-Collegiate, Inter-University, and State-Level Tournaments.

The college canteen caters to food that is nutritional and tasty. Food is prepared to satisfy students (both vegetarian and Non-vegetarian).

The college has two fully air-conditioned, well-furnished, and spacious auditoriums with a seating capacity of 1000 and 300 people. The auditorium is well furnished with contemporary state-of-the-art equipment with excellent acoustic facilities. The halls facilitate sophisticated audiovisual equipment, high-quality presentations, video conferencing, and live media streaming.

The College has State-of-the-art laboratories that are the backbone of any Pharmacy College. Practical exposure brings real value to a pharmacy degree. Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy has all the laboratories with the latest equipment. There are specialized labs for Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Microbiology & Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy, etc. Apart from labs prescribed for study, there are special laboratories that train students in the latest technologies. “Nanotechnology” is one such kind and is equipped with many facilities to prepare novel nano-drug delivery systems like nanofibers. There are multimedia English Language Labs with all the sophisticated equipment, especially to train students in communicative aspects of English.

The college has spacious, ventilated, well-furnished, modernized, and few are fully air-conditioned IT-enabled classrooms, which create a healthy atmosphere for the students and are well lit and echo-proof to facilitate the teaching-learning process.
