Silapathar Science College, Dhemaji Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has also established a Girls’ hostel in 2016 inside the college campus, named after Rukmini, the wife, and queen of Lord Krishna. Rukmini Girls’ Hostel accommodates seventeen boarders with a superintendent along with them and will soon be able to provide more seats in the near future. Both the warden and the superintendent are appointed to look after the borders all the time. The borders can approach both of them whenever necessary. Keeping in mind the role of strong women personalities in the history of Assam, each of the rooms is named after famous women characters from the history of Assam. The hostel provides a homely environment for studies and tries to build a bond of unity among the borders. The hostel has a set of rules and regulations to ensure the maintenance of decorum in the hostel and also to maintain a sanitary environment, prioritizing the health of the residents and providing a wide college campus for open air. Eligible and interested students are always welcome to the Rukmini Girls’ Hostel of Silapathar Science College.

The College has a Gym facility for the students.

The College's central library has 6000 books, 200 Rare book collections, and access to e-books and e-journals through N-List. The library also has a computer section where the students can access the online study materials and browse the internet facilities. The Central Library has 15 Nos. of Theses of our Assistant Professors in its collection in digitized form. The Library also provides access to digitized books via the Silapathar Science College website on desktops over LAN connectivity and on Smartphones via Wi-Fi connectivity to its users.

The College has sports facilities for all students.

The College has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College has a college canteen which serves light refreshments and lunch for students and staff. During special occasions, the canteen will arrange a special menu as per request. The guests coming to the college are treated to special food prepared at our canteen.
