    Located in Hooghly, West Bengal, Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering was formed in 2009. This is a co-educational institute spread over a vast area of 10 acres, allowing a very congenial atmosphere for technical education. The enrolment of students is 1,008 with faculty strengths of 121, allowing for a healthy student-teacher ratio and ample individual attention, which ensures quality education. The institute is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Technology and has earned approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), signifying its commitment to maintaining high academic standards.

    Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUUT), Kolkata. The various facilities provided are aimed at making the learning process enriching as well as all-round development-orientated. The state-of-the-art library serving as the learning resource centre has a vast collection of books, journals, and e-resources to support the academic pursuits of the students and faculty. The institute has hostel facilities on campus, separately available for both boys and girls, and the allotment will be done on a first-come-first-served basis. The medical room in Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering is well equipped for first aid and providing primary medical care to students, making sure health and safety measures are in place. There are two green tops on the campus for outdoor games: one for football and another for cricket. 

    Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering provides 17 programmes in engineering to meet a wide range of interests and career goals. Presently, the institute offers twelve B.Tech programmes: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering Lateral Entry, Mechanical Engineering Lateral Entry, Civil Engineering Lateral Entry, Electrical Engineering Lateral Entry, and Electronics and Communication Engineering Lateral Entry. Other courses are M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Devices and Power Systems, MBA and Diploma in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
