66 MonthsBachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is 5.5 years academic program containing the 4 and 1/2 year academic session and a one-year internship program, offered by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
Eligibility Criteria
- Students seeking admission to the first professional B A M S course must have passed the 10+2 examination of the state board or any other examination considered equivalent thereto by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, with English as one of the optional subjects, with a minimum of 50% marks in the PCB Groups.
- Candidates who have passed the B.Sc degree examination of any university or any other equivalent exam conducted by statutory universities or boards with science subjects namely, chemistry, botany, and zoology, and have secured at least 50 % of the aggregate are eligible for admission to the first professional B A M S provided the candidate has passed the P U C / H S C examination.
- However,r in the case of students belonging to the SC/ST & category, first, the minimum requirement in percentage of marks for admission to the first B A M S course is relaxed by 10% of marks (applicable only to the Karnataka state students)
- No candidate shall be admitted unless he/she has completed 17 years of age on 31st December t of he year of admission.
