Sri Sukhmani Institute of Pharmacy located in Dera Bassi, Punjab offers two main courses which are Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma). It is one of the affiliated colleges approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and follows a structured method of admission to select qualified candidates for its pharmacy programs.
Usually, the admission procedure is based upon cumulative GPA score from previous coursework in relevant subjects of the discipline along with scores obtained in pharmacy entrance examinations. Most admissions processes are initiated in the months of May or June in the immediate years preceding an August or September opening in a new academic session.

Application Process
The application process has the following components:
1. Notification: The institute publishes notification through official announcements concerning the commencement of the admission process.
2. Application Form: Students interested in joining should fill and obtain the application form that is either available online as well as in person.
3. Submission of Documents: The completed form must be submitted with the following documents:
10th and 12th standard mark sheets
School leaving certificate
Character certificate
Entrance test scorecard (if applicable)
Passport-sized photographs
Any other documents required by the institute
4. Entrance Exam: Candidates may be asked to take a pharmacy-specific entrance examination, either organized by the institute or by recognized national/state-level examinations.
5. Merit List: Merit List will be prepared according to examination marks and/or 10+2 marks.
6. Counseling and Seat Allocation: Candidates whose names are featured in the merit list will be attending a counseling session wherein they will select their chosen course based on their merit rank and the availability of seats.
7. Fee Payment: Confirmed candidates have to pay the amount of prescribed admission fee for holding their seat.
8. Document Verification: All presented documents shall be verified and scrutinized regarding their authenticity.
Degree-wise Admission Process
D.Pharma
The Diploma in Pharmacy is of a period of two years and is strictly based on admission acquired from a 10+2 standard performance on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
B.Pharma
Bachelor of Pharmacy is a course of four-year undergraduate studies. Admission to this course is based on scores from pharmacy entrance examinations and 10+2 marks. Conditions may be set up for the percentage of passing according to regulatory guidelines.
