Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai.


Eligibility Criteria

Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University are subject to the following conditions.

  • If he/she has received a bachelor's degree with 50% marks from a Recognized university In 10+2+3 or equivalent pattern.
  • A minimum of inter-collegiate level participation in sports and games is compulsory.
  • The candidates should not have completed 30 years of age as of 1st July. However, relaxation of 3 years may be given for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen / Experienced Physical Education Teachers.
  • Should be medically fit and free from any deformity.
  • Married women should not be in a family way during the course of study. If it is violated, they will not be permitted to continue the course.
