The St Joseph's Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Palai has many important facilities to make students' experience better. The college provides excellent training facilities for students studying culinary and food service. These SJIHMCT facilities include well-equipped kitchens, bakeries, and restaurants. There are also special labs for learning housekeeping and front office operations.
Students can stay updated with industry trends using the modern computer lab that has internet access. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with Wi-Fi, study halls, gyms, and healthy food. You can find a South Indian Bank branch with an ATM on campus. The SJIHMCT canteen has a variety of food options and is a social place for students.
Students run "Cafe Mocha," which offers affordable snacks and lunch. There are gyms and sports facilities to stay fit. College buses are available for safe transportation, and there is parking for bikes and cars. You can get medical help, including insurance, a first aid room, and doctor consultations. Students can also easily access counselling and mentorship from faculty.

The library offers an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), a computerized catalog service. Our library services are with the library software package called Book Magic. The SJIHMCT has a fully automated library facility for students and faculties. A long leap in the horizon of knowledge, the SJIHMCT’s library, the first of its kind among the colleges affiliated to the MG University, is in the process of digitalization of its resources. The digital library facilitates easy access to the electronic books and journals downloaded from the open access archives and other sources made available through the internet.

Students can make use of the opportunity to update themselves with the latest trend in the industry. The students are divided into batches and are allotted individual time to work on the computer. Extra time is offered usually at lunch break. Our campus has Wi-Fi enabled. It has 49 Pentium IV computers with a full suite of software, all with internet facilities and access to printers.

Amazing experience!! I am really delighted and proud to be known as a "Josephite " . SJIHMCT -Pala, helped me to achieve what I wanted to achieve today. An Institute that provided state of the art infrastructure which is very much conducive for excellent learning with the help of well qualified and experienced faculty members. SJIHMCT- Pala is always proactive in terms of value addition to the students by providing them certificate programs in addition to the University curriculum which had helped me a lot to be at par with the expectation of the Hotel Industry.100%Placements is another major achievement of SJIHMCT, Pala. Direct Job Placements in Germany and UAE is another Highlight of the Institute Now. Academic associations with Leading Institutions and Universities abroad for global hospitality Education and exposure is another USP of this Institute. SJIHMCT Pala, has separate Hostels for Girls and boys in the campus itself. Further, It is a great learning place for those who are focused clearly on Hospitality service as their Profession .
