Master of Science (M.Sc) in Biotechnology Self Financed is a two-year full-time postgraduate Course offered by St Xavier's College, Ahmedabad and affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.

Biotechnology is a product oriented science that has its applicability in sectors as varied as Agriculture, Food and nutrition, Public health, Therapy and diagnostics, Environment, Textile industry and thus it entails the need to have a strong knowledge base of Metabolism, Molecular biology, Microbiology, Genetic engineering, Bioinformatics, immunology, analytical and technical skills. College Infrastructure

Yes the college does have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classroom are okay and so are the laboratories but the library is well maintained and has a wide collection of books.
