Yes it does. My college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and the equipment. The classrooms have proper lighting and ventilation. The multimedia room has air conditioners and all the classrooms have audio video facility along with white and black boards
I am studying Economics, Commerce and Political Science and am currently in the second year. The library is well equipped with reference books and I definitely think that the curriculum encourages critical thinking and makes students job ready
St Xaviers College Mumbai is known for its prestigious academics as well as placements. Since I am a second year student, I haven’t had any experience with the placement cell yet, but from what I hear, the placements are pretty satisfactory.
my courses have never costed more than 10,000 ruppees per year. Girl students who aren’t the only child are also eligible for free-ship. I think that the curriculum is extremely worth the price the students have to pay.
The staff is extremely helpful. There are many extra curricular activities on campus which helps the students to feel inclusive and interact with students from a wide variety of streams. The location is safe and can handle emergencies.
I have been a part of multiple extra curricular activities including a cultural exchange program to Italy. The overall experience has been very fulfilling and enriching and I would definitely recommend it to my juniors.
Beautiful infrastructure, Indo-Gothic Architecture! Classrooms are well cleaned and washrooms are very hygienic. All laboratories are excellent. Libraries contain all kind of books. Hostel is in campus itself. Free wifi is there in the campus. All the things are just awesome and fantastic! Gymkhana is always open. Basketball and volleyball ground are there in the campus. Canteen is very hygienic with all tasty foods. Dry and wet dustbins are located in the campus which keeps the campus look good
I am doing BSc course. As I am a civil aspirant, I am preparing for civil services exams. So I am doing BSc course so as to get a degree which is necessary for UPSC examinations. Teaching is of top quality with all excellent professors. As college is Autonomous, it decides its own curriculum which is very updated. Also degree of this college is very important and very renowned. A graduate student from this college will get very benefited when he/she will apply for job or further studies.
Since I am not yet graduated, I dont know much about placements. But I will share my thoughts which I got from my college seniors. Malhar is very popular fest of our college. A selected student is appointed as the head of Malhar fest and given a certificate with a degree after graduation. That student will get 1st priority when he/she shows that certificate in any job interview in future as Malhar is very popular event and being a head of that event is not a small thing.
My course costs approximately ₹7000 per year. This was the cost for my first year. Second and third year cost will be less than first year's cost. Since my course in college is an aided course, it has less cost. This is more nice about the college as you get admissions in such a less cost as compare to other colleges.
Each and everyone will feel very pleasant sitting in the campus enjoying with friends. Campus is always neat and clean with 0% garbage as dustbins are places at almost every corner of the campus. Students and other staff members have a good discipline to throw garbage in dustbins. Students prepare for fests in the campus. Students, teachers and other members are very cooperative and helpful. College is very safe and even we can stay in college in some emergency. College is near to CST station.
It's not just a college, it's a way of life!
My college is regarded as one of the top colleges in Mumbai. It lives up to its standard. The college, though not prefect, has almost everything that a college has to offer. The infrastructure is the best thing our college has. Classrooms: 120 students, chalkboard, projector. Libraries: Two, huge variety of books. Gym: Good equipment. Laboratories: Very good, has more room to grow. Everything is maintained and is used everyday by students. Canteen: Quality degraded, prices gone up, quantity less
I'm studying BSc in geology. Geology is a very interesting subject and has alot of branches to choose from. The teaching is not excellent, but very good. We have assignments, projects, field trips, field reports, etc. The curriculum is well updated but doesn't include every recent development but it's more than enough.
I don't know about placements, but many students have applied and got into various companies. I think the highest salary package offered was fifty thousand or more per month. Most of the companies are well sought.
My course fee was around six thousand per year. For the equipments that we use everyday, I'd say we're definitely getting our money's worth and more.
The college campus is the best thing to look at. The infrastructure is beyond compare. Students can participate in sports, events/fests that every department conducts, use the gym, etc. In the break, the canteen and it's foyer is always packed and the students are open minded and fun. Teachers and support staff are fun to be around too. They are very friendly and can be approached at any time. The location is very safe. We have a hospital, ground, restaurants, cafés, theatres, etc nearby.
College life is excellent when it comes to Xavier's. There are people of different cultures, different views and you graduate as a very different and open minded person than before.
Great infrastructure with free wifi. Clean leansrooms with smart board facility. The food in the canteen is good and hygienic. The campus is totally student friendly. Washrooms are also very clean and hygienic.
I am studying for my Bachelor's in Chemistry. The teaching staff is friendly and supportive. They teach with great enthusiasm and help with doubts and show concern for each student. They treat you with respect. They also give special attention on class revisions.help
The quality of placements is really good. The students get exposed to new opportunities thorough placement cell. The college also gives guidance regarding various job opportunities and various fields in today's world.
My course costed me around 6-7 thousand per year which is very affordable for such a good college. I am totally satisfied with the college and infact happy to be a part of it. My money was totally worth it!
Had amazing friends and supportive staff. The college is very well known for its cultural fest "Malhar" which falls around mid of August. The environment during Malhar is just amazing and mesmerizing... There are lot of field trips in a year which gives us the opportunity to bond well with fellow mates.
St. Xaviers College is well known for it's culture and education. It has an amazing infrastructure with a basketball court, volleyball court and a Gymkhana. Transport facility is also very nice. The railway station is at walkable distance.
SXC has a very well maintained infrastructure which includes everything a college must have. It has got classrooms with projectors, two libraries, a gymkhana for sports enthusiasts, boys hostel, language lab and multi-media room among many more.
Although SXC offers a lots of courses to students interested in different field but I am pursuing B.Sc because my subject of interest is pure science. The teachers over here have a great knowledge in their respective field and also the curriculum being up to date helps both students and teachers to know about the recent developments in the field.
The college has a separate placement cell wherein one can register and then you will start receiving e-mails regarding internship or placement offers. Although getting placed in a company totally depends on personal skills and interview still college is very supportive regarding such things.
Annual cost for pursuing a B.Sc degree in SXC, Mumbai is 6K-7K and I think with all the facilities in the college I am getting my money's worth.
College has a basketball court where majority of college fest takes place, it has a canteen foyer and woods which is always full with enthusiast students doing all their extra curricular activities. The area around which college is situated is surrounded with all the facilities from medical emergency to recreational stuffs and is indeed located in a very safe place.
Yes, the college building is good! The facilities like library and sports is also good! The condition of common rooms was bad early but now they have cleaned up and it is regularly taken care of. The wifi service is good sometime but is not available througout college.
I am student of BA with main subject as economics. The faculty is good. Sometimes the quality is differs from faculty to faculty but overall it is satisfactory. We do have discussions about recent scenarios which keeps us up-to-date. I feel along with theory we are getting a good amount of practical knowledge and implication through assignments.
I have heard it is great with good companies and many graduates getting placed with sessions for interview pre training as well. There are talks to share information about how interviews work. Also, the interview process includes various steps.
Yes absolutely! The exposure and facilities given is worth it.
There is always something or the other going on in college apart from academics . Various fests, departments, exposure of outside activites and visits. The area around is safe and near from stations with easy travelling. The teaching and non teaching staff both handle situations greatly.
This college has helped me come out of my shell and motivated me to do new things andnface the world. Its moto comes true ' its a way of life.'
My college has the best infrastructure all over Mumbai, good facilities and enough equipment to manage the amount of students they take in. Has most of the facilities like free campus WiFi, a good gymkhana for sports and a good hostel with hygienic canteen food.
I finished my bsc-it in 2020 and the teaching was good, obviously you cannot expect all teachers to be good enough but it terms or curriculum wise, it was sorta updated, however what the staff teaches us makes us job ready
The quality of placements is really good, I got placed via campus and it wasn't much hectic to get placed although u can't expect to get placed on your first try. The package was good with average salary ranging around 4L a year. The placement committee is really supportive and helpful.
My course was worth around 40k a year, because it's IT it was a bit expensive however most of the bsc courses were very cheap. I would say the college gave us enough of our moneys worth.
The campus life is the best in xaviers, lots of stuff happening all over campus at any given point of the year. Lots of fests for kids to participate into, no bullying in the campus. Teachers and staff r reliable whenever you need someone to talk to
Just go for it if you get a chance, don't give it a second thiught
Have been studying at the st.Xavier's college for 5 years and have not had a problem with anything related to the infrastructure. As it is considered a heritage structure special care is taken of the campus while not depriving the students of modern resources.
since the college is autonomous they have the privileged to set their own syllabus and hence take special trouble to keep us updated and in tune with current happenings. The assignments for the continuous internal assessment make sure we know the applicability of concepts
The college placement cell makes sure that opportunities are continuously available when it comes to placements and is always very approachable in case we have issues. Before the placements begin they have workshops to make sure students are prepared.
As my course is government aided it is not very expensive as it abides by university cost.
The college has good wifi which is accessible all over campus, two libraries, a gymkhana with all the necessary facilities. Good hygiene is maintained. We are shown a lot of films and space is used well and well-maintained.
I Did my BA in English Literature. It is an all rounded curriculum, covering a vast amount of topics pertaining to the subjects and are discussed well in class. Contemporary writing, classic literature and films are well covered.
The quality of placements is really good in college. I personally did not apply for placements because I want to study further but other college mates got placed into really good companies which made them comfortable.
The average fees is about 4-5k every year for BA courses. I did my BA in English Literature. Of course we’re getting a well rounded education because of not only the teaching but the various activities, fests conducted by college.
The best features of our college is the architecture. Students can engage in a large number of fests and activities such an Malhar which is well known. Students work hard for each and every activity here in college and there is always something you can enjoy.
Not only do you receive a good education but the people you meet and the activities you do especially the compulsory Social Involvement Program can really give you a different experience and at the end of five years you don’t want it to end.
The college is very well known for its iconic campus and infrastructure that dates back to more than 150 years now. The college has all the necessary facilities which are maintained on a regular basis.
The curriculum is updated on a regular basis, with both the students and professors staying upto date with the newer developments in their respective fields. This allows the student to pass out of the college with relevant information.
There could be more placement opportunities for the science students, other than that the college has a good placement system, and sees many recruiters coming each year, with many students being employed.
The fees charged by the college for most of the courses are not exorbitant and at the same time, the student recieves a well rounded college experience. There are financial help options available for students who need them
The college offers a plethora of extra curricular activities in addition to the academics which gives the student an opportunity for an all round development.
