24 MonthsDiploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time diploma programme offered by West Bengal Board of Primary Education, Kolkata and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligibility Criteria
- Should be an Indian citizen
- Should pass the H.S. (+2) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council/University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate/aggregate of the best five.
- There is, however, a relaxation of 5% marks for the applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH/Ex-Serviceman categories. Where there are no aggregate marks, 50% / 45% of the total of the best five scores excluding EVS (where it is not an elective subject) for eligibility will be counted
- Must have studied and passed at the Higher Secondary level Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali as a compulsory subject, carrying the weightage of 100 marks for admission to Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali medium Institutions (as the case may be). Must have studied English with 100 marks as the Second/another language.
Admission Details
- The admission modalities follow the guidelines of WBUTTEPA & WBBPE as well as N.C.T.E.
- Reservation of seats SC/ST/OBC/PH and other categories as per N.C.T.E./ WBUTTEPA / Govt. of W.B. Rules. For this purpose, they must furnish the certificate issued by the appropriate authority. There shall be a relaxation of Marks & Seat for candidates belong to belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH per the Rule of the Govt. of West Bengal /WBUTTEPA. / N.C.T.E.
- There is an Age limitation for D.EL.ED. admission which is 35 years.
