Swami Dayananda College of Arts and Science, Manjakkudi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library is automated with Koha open source software and N-LIST, National Digital Library India (NDLI) facility is given to all the students and teachers of the college. The library is well stocked with the latest books containing 11007 books, 36 National/International journals, and magazines, and also has 50 CDs in relation to the course syllabus. The library serves as a knowledge treasure for the students who are hailing from rural backgrounds The library functions in a 3200 Sq.ft spacious area and accommodates 100 students at a time accessing the library. For the integrated library management system which has installed KOHA software system and 11000 books are racked accordingly accessing the resource materials openly.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. A well-built-in cafeteria having an area 1200SqFt, attached with a kitchen modern outfits and storehouse. It trifurcates into boys, girls, and staff members' spaces for dining purposes. The two water coolers are provided with RO units fitted in the cafeteria.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. State of the art air-conditioned auditorium has a seating capacity of 1000 students at a time having a galleried structure accommodating 150 individuals. It is equipped with a large podium, VIP lounge, two green rooms, washrooms, carpeting, and wall paneling for acoustic effects. The auditorium has its spanning green lawns inculcating the best practice of eco-friendly living.

The college has sports facilities for all students. The playfield of the college has a vast area, provides cricket pitch, volleyball, ball badminton, kabbadi, and running tracks satisfy the necessity of sports persons and also indoor games like table tennis and carrom board are available.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. A utilitarian Physics lab accommodates 300 students per week on a rotational basis indelibly fixing scientific temperament in younger minds, substantiating the scientific facts for their practical utility as prescribed by the Bharathidassan University, Tiruchirappalli. A total of 100 computer systems are installed in the computer lab for programming and browsing works. It is facilitated with Wifi connectivity, Printers, and Projectors for the DEMO class in the lab. It is equipped with Air Conditioning Machines and is also supported by a UPS facility. Chemistry is the study that deals with composition, properties, and the use of matter. It probes into the principles governing the changes that matter undergoes and the chemistry laboratory has been given a central and distinctive role in chemistry education. Thus for any meaningful teaching and learning of chemistry to take place. A utilization of chemistry lab resources in terms of apparatus, equipment, salts, reagents, materials, acids, and bases. for 200 UG students and 20 PG students per week on a rotational basis. We are maintaining all safety measures required for the chemistry lab.1. To provide students a platform to enhance English language skills and to practice soft skills. 2. To develop the student's communication skills. 3. To emphasize the need for English in the technical world.

The college has a transport facility for the students. Our college has 19 Buses, which play from various routes to our College.
