Eligibility Criteria

. For Maharashtra Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate-

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from AICTE, New Delhi or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, EWS and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State);

(iii) Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought

(iv) Obtained Qualified score in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology and valid for the current academic year ;

(iv) Obtained non-Qualified marks in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology for the current academic year;

(iv) For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

2. NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National

(i) Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50 % marks;

(ii) Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought.

(iii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act

Admission Details

Registration by a candidate for CAP is Mandatory / Compulsory, for admission against Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Seats as well as Institute Level Quota (ILQ) Seats,
After online registration candidate should take printout of the application form & visit one of the Facilitation center (FC) notified on the DTE website, for confirmation of the application form & document verification.
Candidate must carry all Original documents for verification while visiting FC.
Candidate must take acknowledgment from FC after confirmation of application form.
Only those candidates will be included in the Merit list prepared by competent authorities, who have confirmed their applications at FC.

A) CAP Admission

80% seats admission are allotted through CAP rounds as per the guidelines published by State MHT CET Cell / DTE, Government of Maharashtra, on website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

B) Institute Level Quota Admission

The Institute level merit list for the Candidates shall be prepared amongst the application received against 20% Institute Level quota based on Merit number assigned by Competent Authority on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in GATE 2023 conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (As per the guidelines published by DTE, Government of Maharashtra).
