The University Institute of Engineering and Technology Kurukshetra was established in 2004 as a government institute under the management of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. The institute has been accredited with a grade A+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). UIET Kurukshetra courses are in the field of Engineering. The institute provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D courses, including B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D, all of which are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admission to the B.Tech programme is granted based on JEE Mains scores, while admission to the M.Tech programme is based on GATE scores. The placement and training cell of the institute regulates the UIET placement process and provides students with job offers.
UIET Kurukshetra campus spans over 473 acres of land and offers a range of facilities to support the growth and development of its students, as well as its staff and faculty members. University Institute of Engineering and Technology Kurukshetra provides many scholarships to the meritorious and needy aspirants. UIET Kurukshetra scholarships are Late Sh. Gurdev Singh Pabla Memorial Scholarship, Reimbursement of Tuition Fee and Transport Facility to Schedule Castes Students Studying in Technical Institutions in Haryana, ONGC Scholarship, etc. Students at UIET Kurukshetra can also avail the scholarships provided by the All India Council for Technical Education. The offered AICTE scholarships are Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree) and Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Student (Technical Degree). To avail the University Institute of Engineering and Technology Kurukshetra scholarships and scholarships provided by AICTE, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of the scholarships with the scholarship amount are given in the table below. It is to be noted that, candidates can avail only one UIET Kurukshetra scholarship at a time.

Yes, the college that you have chosen is good in terms of return on investment and considering you have chosen mechanical in this college. So one thing keep in mind that you should be preparing for non core domain like data analytics and data science because not all will get placed in the core companies.
